A California native, growing up in San Fernando Valley, Mars Era began his journey of music in 2001. With an extended history in Christian hip-hop, Mars has traveled throughout the U.S. opening up for artist such as, iconic gospel rapper and The Fighting Temptation supporting actor, T-Bone and Grammy-winning artist Lecrae. During his time in a hip hop group, Keno Camp, they were nominated in 2015 for “Best New Rap Group” at the Kingdom Choice Awards. Life on Mars, Mars Era’s first solo effort of 15 years dropped October 2019. The new album includes hit single The Coast along with songs Pipe Dream, W, and Genetics. Life on Mars is a digital journal summarizing Mars’ journey of family, music, and life. Now with complete creative control, Mars is faced to juggle content and vulnerability without being able to hide behind others. Through conceptual styles and technical lyricism he is discovering how to be recognized and respected as an artist outside of a sub-genre. With passion and creativity as his driving force, Mars is looking to leave his mark on hip hop.
