Since 2002 Smerins Anti-Social Club have established themselves as one of the hottest underground acts Britain has to offer. While they’ve recently made ripples on the radio with a release on Tru Thoughts (the band’s dub rendition of the Doctor Who theme) and a track specially commissioned by 6 Music, it’s their enviable reputation as a live act that has long been winning this 8-piece band appearances at the country’s top festivals.

Formed when a group of friends decided to put together a band as an antidote to a somewhat stale music scene in their former hometown of Southampton, Smerins Anti-Social Club quickly forged their own direction by mashing together a diverse range of influences. Elements of funk, 1930s swing, drum'n'bass, ska and alt-rock are fused together with a punk-rock energy and delivered with real musicianship.
