Mixtape #136 by Vedat Mutlu

Since the entire country is getting closer to a lockdown state, i figured i could make some time to record a new mixtape for my Manic Monday Moodswing sessions. I think the title couldn't be more appropriate in these dark times as well as the mood for the mixtape itself. 
I've selected some digital tracks and combined them with some waxes of which i hope you'll get to enjoy very much.

Manic Monday Moodswing Session #2

We are super happy to have these two amigos joining our series: Sarrelangue and Gabriel O’ Shea. A smooth and steady mix with lots of groove.

By taking responsible positions in the collectives Mexiko Colectivo (Sarre) and Akasha Mx (Gabriel), both play an important role in making the Mexico City Downtempo scene the welcoming nice family it is.

Witchtape #69 | Guest Wizz : Javi Trigo

On that sunny day in May, the little witch stood at the foot of the tallest tree of her forest and sang a sweet song.  She hugged the tree tenderly and she sensed the forest giant was inviting her in.  So, the nimble petite (1m58) witch climbed the tree with the agility of a squirrel, like she often does, generally all the way up into the canopy.  But this time she stopped climbing somewhere in the middle, finding a thick branch where she sat down and laid her ear on the stem.  At first she didn’t hear much, but after a while she clearly heard the juices flowing deep inside the tree.  And after gently caressing the bark a few times she heard a kind of roar coming from inside the stem, pumping juices way faster than before and she even discerned the pulse of the tree, coming from the roots deep under the ground.  The presence of the young witch had a spectacular effect on the forest giant, and after a while she was surprised to see that beautiful white flowers started to bloom all over the tree, after which the girl gave the tree a tender kiss.  All the nearby birds and animals looked in awe at this colorful spectacle… even the oldest owls had never seen these white blossoms.  Soon the word spread around the forest and all animals wanted to see these beautiful white flowers covering this giant tree.  Meanwhile, the little witch was completely oblivious of the crowd around the tree, as the time was nearing for her afternoon nap… soon she drifted away into a blissful sleep, while being held tenderly (and safely) by the giant tree.
After waking up, the girl hugged the tree once again and laid her ear on the stem.  Soon she heard a rumble coming from the deepest roots of the giant, while the juices were flowing again in overdrive from the tip of all roots all the way up to each and every leaf.  It became so intense that the whole tree started to shake and the white flowers started to fall down like snow, covering the witch from head to toe.  At that moment, a fresh breeze started to blow and the white flower petals were flying through the whole forest now, and all animals looked in amazement at this spellbinding spectacle… yet another indication that this was not an ordinary forest.

As a professional classical dancer performing everyday since her early age, Nina is all about rhythms and body moves.
Landing in Berlin in the early 2000s right on time for the Bar 25 epoch, she naturally found herself in turning her mind and body upside down on the Spree for endless hours. She quickly understood what the kids want when it comes to underground music and decided to not wait for the disc jokey to press play . She revealed her talent in various reference spots like Chalet, Wilde Renate , Fiese Remise or Ritter Butzke usually extending the timetable limits. Expect dynamic, bounced and groovy melodies to goose bump yourself until you forget your name.

Marsha is an artist with a delicate taste and a unique sound who has found her own place in the world of electronic dance music. Based in Athens, she is running her own music club project called 'Marsha Invites" and has her monthly radio show on Cannibal Radio. She is also organiser at Otro Mundo festival and curator at Christine Never Came club night project. Last but not least, being a true Yoga lover, she is the co-founder of Music & Yoga Project. 

She has performed along with Bedouin, Behrouz, Agoria, Mira, Rampue, YokoO, Nico Stojan, Viken Arman, Armen Miran, Stavroz, Oceanvs Orientalis, Lum, Kora, Kalipo, Alvaro Suarez, Kerala Dust, Mimi Love etc.
