Gespielt am Montag morgen auf der äusserst spassigen "Tal der Verwirrung - 3x schwarzer Kater" - Party im Kater Blau (Katerkiosk) mixt er Downtempo mit treibenden Beats, orientalischen Einflüssen& Percussions vereint mit AcidBasselementen und was ihm noch so in die Finger kommt.
Zum ersten Mal in fast durchgehender Begleitung seines Samplers, mit dem selbstproduzierte, percussionlastige Beats live zum DJ-Set integriert wurden. Als Effektgerät wird ein Mini-Kaoss Pad 2 benutzt.

Οne more day until August and I’m happy to be back again and share with you my “Every Summer Has A Story” mix this time dedicated to the Summer of 2019.  🧜‍♀️

Just like every other “Every Summer Has A Story”, this mix is more about expressing my mood, my feelings and emotions. It’s a way of putting into music where I am right here and right now. 

It includes music from Stavros Xarhakos, Air, Massive Attack, Trentemoller, Nicolas Jaar, Nightmares on Wax, Parov Stelar and others. It’s a selection of favourite tracks that I’m listening to at home but I don’t play in a DJ set. 

The vibe is summery and create feelings of peace and nostalgia with a touch of sweet melancholy. 

Download option is available. I hope it will keep you good company when with others or alone.

Wir starten ins neue Jahr mit einer groovigen Reise der wunderbaren DJane Austen (@djane-austen). Wir freuen uns sehr sie an Board zu haben und uns mit ihr in ihrem Sound zu verlieren! Das Artwork ist von Caitlin Backhouse.

~Zeit für ein schleichendes Frage & Antwort Spiel~

>>Wer bist du und woher kommst du?
Mein Name ist Olga und ich lebe und studiere in Erlangen. Dort wohne ich über einer schnuckeligen Kneipe in einer WG, die wir liebevoll die Kommune25 nennen. (Grüße!)

>>Wie kamst du zum Auflegen?
Ich habe das erste Mal an einem Silvester vor 6 Jahren in der Weinerei in Nürnberg aufgelegt. Ich wurde ein paar Tage vorher gefragt, ob ich nicht auflegen will – so aus Spaß. Ich hatte mit Auflegen bis dato nichts am Hut. Ich glaube sie haben niemand Besseren gefunden, weil Silvester war ツ. Fast forward. Als ich ein paar Jahre später in meine WG einzog, kam die Story wieder auf. Interessiert an meinen nicht vorhandenen Auflege-Künsten besorgten wir uns ein Mischpult und haben dann einfach zusammen herumexperimentiert. Wie die meisten DJs sind wir dann die harte Schule der WG-Partys durchlaufen, bis wir irgendwann selbst als Kollektiv namens HCIT (Hottest Crew in Town!) Partys organisiert haben.

>>Was gefällt dir besonders an "langsamer" Musik?
Der kanadische Künstler Douglas Coupland sagte mal: "It's not an illusion. Time is moving faster." Es gibt etwas, das nennt sich soziale Zeit - und die hat einen Rhythmus. Im Kapitalismus erleben wir eine massive Beschleunigung des sozialen Rhythmus. Mit Musik kann man ganz einfach den Rhythmus bestimmen. Ich mag es, dass man sich mit langsamer Musik der Beschleunigung widersetzen kann und gesellschaftlicher Fesseln entledigen kann.

>>Was ist dein aktueller Lieblingstrack (und auf wieviel BPM)?
Was mir gerade als erstes einfällt ist Lost Secrets von Luis Leon & Andrew Brown auf 105 bpm herunter gepitcht, weil der Track dadurch so eine neue, wunderschöne Dynamik entwickelt und viel wertiger wirkt als im Original. Entdeckt habe ich den Track im ersten Lockdown. Seitdem lässt er mich nicht mehr los. Und das wird er wohl erst dann, wenn ich ihn endlich vor Publikum spielen darf.

>>Ein Set, dass du dir immer wieder anhörst?
Definitiv Pärchenurlaub im Garten! Das Set hat uns so oft schon durch unzählige Küchengespräche und lauwarme Sommernächte begleitet.

>>Was ist dein Lieblingsfestival?
Wenn ich ein großes Festival wählen müsste, wäre es die Fusion. Aber kleine Festivals sind auch was ganz Besonderes. Das Von Freunden für Freunde Festival darf für mich trotz Fusion nicht fehlen. Familiäre Festivals haben einfach ihren ganz eigenen Zauber.

Marsha is an artist with a delicate taste and a unique sound who has found her own place in the world of electronic dance music. Based in Athens, she is running her own music club project called 'Marsha Invites" and has her monthly radio show on Cannibal Radio. She is also organiser at Otro Mundo festival and curator at Christine Never Came club night project. Last but not least, being a true Yoga lover, she is the co-founder of Music & Yoga Project.
