@glaskin are two brothers from Munich. Specialising in their own distinctive take on the harder edges of techno and electro, the duo are currently residents at the renowned Blitz Club. In 2019, they launched their own imprint, YAEL Trip, a label intended to showcase their own material as well as interpretations from like-minded figures. They are also part of the promotion team of the two Munich-based festivals ‘Back to the Woods‘ and ‘Schall im Schilf‘, where they play regularly. We are happy Glaskin and their recommendations are part of our Munich T[rave]l Guide.

“Be patient, and don’t expect any results really quickly,” says German techno legend Chris Liebing and even though he’s talking about pursuing a career in the DJ world these words ring true for all of us. Good things take their time folks. 30 years into his career The DJ and producer is celebrating one of his biggest milestones with the release of his sophomore album Another Day. 

We talk about slowing down with music and embracing its delayed gratification in a fast-paced world.

Who says you have to wear black on black and be serious when it comes to techno? Turns out you don’t. Industrial techno heavyweight Paula Temple had some fun during her B2B with SNTS dressing as a bride and wore a bold, bright red dress during her CRSSD 2021 set delivering powerful punches throughout the night. 

Paula is back on the road and ready to go. She was nice enough to sit down with me to talk about what life has been like for her since her last SoCal visit opening up about her career trajectory and sharing why being you is all that matters.

Hailing from humble beginnings in the UK underground, Dax J needs no introduction. One of the modern day faces of techno, Dax has been involved in the scene since he was a young kid DJing on pirate radios in his hometown. Now running his own label Monnom and his own Dockyard Festival during the annual Amsterdam Dance Event, Dax is a certified tastemaker these days. Don’t count him out as just another techno DJ, though. Dax’s roots in other genres such as garage, jungle, DnB, and more provide constant inspiration to him as an artist. Dax sat down with us ahead of his headlining performance at our own REFORM festival to discuss his underground inspiration behind his Soul Enforcer EP compilation, benefiting the Ukrainian crisis.

Darüber spricht der weltberühmte DJ, Musik- und Modelabelbetreiber Dixon mit Podcast-Host Jakob Thoene in der letzten Telekom Electronic Beats Podcast Folge des Jahres. Als ersten Versuch einer neuen Darstellungsmöglichkeit führt der DJ sein neuestes Projekt Transmoderna an, eine 20-wöchige Residency im Pacha auf Ibiza, bei der Sound, Licht und Architektur miteinander verschmelzen. Der Dancefloor, die Party und der Moment sollen erlebt, anstatt für die Selbstdarstellung in den Sozialen Medien genutzt zu werden. Mark Knight is keeping house music alive, and his most recent track "If It's Love" goes back to basics with classic house music elements; something he feels has been compromised due to the industry's fast-paced environment. "Writing songs that have a bit more depth [and] that are really focused on the fundamentals of songwriting: great hooks, great melodies and meaningful lyrics," explains Knight when talking about the inspiration for his new release. Going back to his soulful roots, Mark Knight's latest record that features stellar vocalists Laura Davie and The Melody Men gives the world an extra dose of feel-good vibes just what it needed as it grapples with COVID-19.
