Eclectic mix of rock and Soul/Funk/ Church musicians playing some 
 funky live made up songs. Give it a listen, there are errors, but that's because these were all one take-live-made up on the spot.

Sept. 30th, 2023- Two and a half hours of unrehearsed improv. jam session songs performed by a long-standing group of musicians, plus several long time players and a few old friends who chip in. This Cloudland Jam session honored our fallen friend, Steve Cloud, who was our beloved and generous host and also a great piano and guitar player, we loved his slide work!
Marshall Carlson, lead vocals and drums on several tracks (and back up vocals on other tracks). Antoine Reynolds on Synth, Organ, Fender Rhodes, Clavicord Keys. Eric Geer joins for a few tunes on Drums, and guitar. Ricco Caliendo on vocals on "She's Electric" and "Dont Waste my time" with MC, on and secondary vocs on Long Time Baby. Impeccable soul, funk, and Jazz drumming by Anthony Jones in the second half on and off. Joe Ledger smoothly paces early and late songs on Bass, and amazing Chris Liddell slapping that bad bad man's Jazz-funk bass. Dave handles lead guitar jams and rhythm guitars when needed. Larry Phillabaum the master technician on Guitars, foot pedal effects extraordinaire, keys, and sometimes bass, drums! Additionally, Larry is the jam's producer and editor. In total, 9 band members swapped instruments as the night went on, nothing was planned nor rehearsed. I'm sure Stevo was watching from his lofty condo in the sky! I have cut this 2.5 hour WAV file jam into some of the better tracks on MP3s. The rest may be added as edited. please enjoy...more older jams to come!

Mystery Man

Really tight and emotionally charged improv jam recorded live no retakes at Cloudland in 2019 with a troupe of musicians from all walks and places. Amazing how everyone just follows one another and compliments all. 
Great song, so nicely jammed. Compliments to Antione on Keys and Anthony on Drums who really really make it shine! Dave rocks in with Guitar solos galore.

This was another fun improv session in the basement studio in BayView. We had Ricco Caliendo on Vocals/Lyrics, Marshall Carlson on Vocals/Lyrics and Drums, Larry Philabaum on Guitars and Pedals and also on the mix using a Zoom Mic. Brian Biernat on the Fender Jazz Bass, Jon Mercer on Congas and Keyboards, Joe Ledger on Keys and Bass in the second part of the afternoon. All tunes made up on the spot.
