This DJ and producer from Northwest New Jersey has been mixing for about 2 years (question mark). When he was a little younger he used to perform live PA sets with Ableton for IRL gigs, but he never got into using a deck until playing VRChat. They missed doing those live PA sets, but they, unfortunately, had to put music on the back burner while he was in Grad school. When he discovered VRChat, he knew it would be a great outlet for him to continue to perform and share music he likes. Seeing his friends having a good time and making new connections is the best part for him. Since starting he's played at Heist, Rizumu, MASS, Resonance, Dieselworks, Black Market, Sanctum, Tube, & Vaultage. When he first started mixing he played with only faster genres because he produced footwork jungle, but he's been branching out to slower tempos recently like breaks, club music, and baile. He figured that for today's mix he would reach back into his footwork bag and showcase a little bit of his earlier style. 
 
Outside of DJing, he loves one wheeling, which combines his love of technology with the outdoors. He has a masters in Interactive Media & Game Design, and his favorite non-EDM song of all time is This Woman's Work by Kate Bush.

This DJ from the Pacific Northwest has been DJing for 2 and a half years! In his past, he and his friends would go to a lot of typical Midwest emo or post-punk music shows, and he was very surprised when he would get dragged to other stages that had visceral Electronic Music playing, which had very distorted and mind-bending sounds while still being groovy! Selections he best describes as being similar to Four Tet or Boards of Canada. His experience with Electronic records felt like something to listen alone to at the time, and he could never really picture himself dancing around alone or with other people and sharing a lot of the emotions. His friends actually roasted him for his lack of dance skills, but they were all really buzzed about it the whole time. After discovering VRChat he had some very eye-opening experiences that made him very nostalgic of those times with his friends at indie music fests.

Club-going in VRChat had him exposed in a similar fashion to new genres and styles of music. DJing felt like a nice extension, sharing similar experiences with friends and a nice creative outlet. He felt confident enough to try DJing, his benchmark for playing tunes was primarily informed by being on the dancefloor with his friends. He describes this as Could I picture my friends and I dancing to this rhythm? How would I feel? I think it's so important to me, otherwise, it starts to become soulless, and at the end of the day it's dance music!" Since starting he's found his home with hard-hitting genres like dub, electro, techno, and punchy breakbeat. He's also played at many venues, but his favorite shows took place at Concrete, Loner, Heist, and Deep Blue.
For today's mix, he's included some tracks off the record label Ilian Tape, and R&S records that have been a huge influence with him. Finally, he runs a monthly event with his friend Frillz, in a map called Unlocked - a rave set on the historical London Tower Bridge Walkway. The next event will be announced soon and will happen later this Month! Hope to see you there.
