Brooklyn n.y artist raised in kings county fortgreen Brooklyn. In short my makeup of artistry derives from artist I grew up around. Before I could cross the street by myself F.G.A Fortgreen assassins use to shoot music videos infront of my building. coming outside in the front of the building was dope. Cause I would see the action live in the summer. Music blaring out the windows of the buildings they lived in. they had jerseys with their initials on it the black and white hockey jerseys 🔥. Every summer every winter then summer again. I remember the d.js use to come out playing the latest and greatest HIP-HOP record of those summers. couldn't go outside then because a shoot out would happen smdh. my Saturdays were great because it was cartoons and cereal and at twelve mom's and pops would play vinyls the rest of the day. calypso music, disco, 80s soft rock, 80s pop, merenge, salsa, garifuna music etc. So my ear for music developed through different sounds and styles. So if you hear different styles and vibes on my project that's the reason for it. that mixed with learning the streets and learning how to get a job officially was trying. You had to diversify your hustle, at first rapping was my go to. until your life priorities change into having to survive, reality kicks in. Then it becomes a hobby, your grind has to set you forward in order for you to sit and play again. through that time you absorb life and that becomes fuel for your records later. There's a science that artist understand once they grow with their craft. some are just more intune than others. So when you listen to this body of work. it's not a shoot em up bang bang project. This is years of work and patience pain and love loss and gains up and downs. I never wrote to impress I wrote because I love to do it I breathe hip hop everyday. even if I wanted to stop I couldn't because I'll just be inspired somehow. But this project "DON'T BOTHER TO PRESS PLAY" is years of life study. Hope you enjoy it and leave a comment let me know what you guys think. There's more to come.
