This song is about that moment in life when you realize you should wake up and be yourself.. and it feels like magic when certain beautiful 'things', 'people', 'situations' or 'chances' suddenly appear on your path. Eh, instead of calling that 'Fate', it was you just being eh.. you! Sometimes it's just a bit hard to see that ;-)

I visited PinkPop 2015 festival in Landgraaf a few weeks ago.
At this great festival I saw two lovers (they were old and grey) lying in the grass
and enjoying Jonathan Jeremiah (which I was enjoying too).. Their 
'living their dreams' at this age was really touching to me, so I decided 
to use my impressions observing those two to write and compose 'Dreams'.

CONSTELLATIONS

This is a relatively new song that I have had a poor quality version uploaded here for the past week and it had some good reception so I decided to record it to a better standard.

It is inspired by my grandmother who has been suffering with Alzheimer's disease for the past 5/6 years. I have seen her turn from a highly active and energetic woman to a very old lady in this short space of time and it has made me realise how important it is to cherish every moment you have because you don't know when it will change irreversibly forever.

I have chosen to intertwine the story of her life with that of a tree in this song as she represents the solid tree like backbone of our family but like every living thing, has a limited amount of time to live on this earth. I hope you like it!

Hi all, 

Wrote this song as an entry for the 'inspirational input' competition running at the 'kitchen' https://soundcloud.com/songwriter-in-the-kitchen

The track's about 'Orion' who died fighting a scorpion and inspired by Metallica's instrumental 'Orion'. 
My creation starts like an acoustic ballad, then transforms into rock and ends with a wink to the sound of Metallica to link the song musically to Orion as well. In the 'bridge' the organs represent
the constellation Orion, the guitar riffs represents the subject and the bass is the scorpion.
Yes, the changes in the 2nd half of the song may be way out-of-the-box, but I like how they carry the message in this song. What did you feel/think when listening to this track? Your comments are really, really appreciated!!

"Walking in the Dark" is the February installment of my One Song, One Month challenge.  This is dedicated to all of those who walk in the dark, those who have walked with them, and those who have walked with me.  It is inspired by portions of Robert Benson's book, "Living Prayer."  He writes of a time when a friend was in great need, and called him in the middle of the night, and how he "called me in the middle of the night when his life was coming apart because he knew that I had been broken too."

This song was written by @jurgen-joarder , we collaborated by combining ideas. Of course Jurgen plays all guitars and wrote all words. I added the vocals a hammond, drums and bass and introduced new melodies and a bridge. I'm really proud of our result, we hope you enjoy the track!

Creating/playing/composing/arranging music has been my passion since I was born ;-) I love singing (in harmonies as well), play a bit on the guitar, drum a little and play some keys. I've been active in the local (dutch) pop/rock cover scene in bands as a lead singer and rhythm-guitar player. Now I record my work (and covers) on my attic studio at home.

I'd appreciate when you let me know what you think/feel when listening to my tracks. Your feedback can help me to improve; and that, hopefully will please you as music lovers!
