I was thrilled to be invited to take part in Johnny Davison's mix series called 'Journeys'. We both had to deliver a 10 track warm up set and 10 track peak time set, which were then intertwined into one comprehensive set of over 4 hours of progressive and peak time trance.

A word from the Mann himself;
Born in the 80s and raised on a healthy musical diet of New Wave, New Romantic, Disco & Funk,  had exposure to Electronic Music from a young age. It was the release of a Synthesizer album in 1989 that introduced me to the likes of Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis & Giorgio Moroder which cemented my interest in synth music. When Trance music burst on to the commercial scene in the late 90s I knew I had found the sound that would become my obsession for years to come.
 
Too young to hit the clubs, I collected countless CD singles and compilations and began building up my collection. Trance Nation, Clubbers Guide To Trance & “The Lizard Man” (the latter would eventually lead to a sizeable interest in Techno) were probably the stand outs. Once I was 18 I was fortunate enough to have the super club Slinky right on my door step so I would spend almost every Friday night there taking in the best DJs of the world each and every week. If I wasn’t going to Slinky then I would venture further afield and was lucky enough to experience the likes of Inside Out & Colours @ The Arches in Glasgow, Godskitchen, Cream and Gatecrasher.
 
Fast forward to 2007 and after feeling that Trance had gone a bit stale I branched out into Techno as my source for new music but still maintaining the love for all things Classic Trance. In 2019 after a couple of house moves and being able to set my decks back up, I got them serviced and went about starting a project to get me playing my vinyl collection again. “Vinyl Destination” was born and so began my quest for creating and sharing Vinyl only mixes taking in classic Trance. Anything from Progressive right through to Hard Trance. I’ve had great fun putting these together and being introduced to people along the way with a similar passion and it’s a pleasure to have been asked to make contributions for other mix projects along the way.
