My last ever set for Anomaly UK August 2019. It is with a heavy heart i must retire from DJing for a while and this is the last set i played at the awesome Anomaly UK where i was lucky enough to be resident for 3 years. I wish the brand every success for the future and have loved every event and the Anomaly crowd !!!!

His drive and love for a diverse range of electronically based music has taken him into the realms of production where Vivida is experimenting and developing his skills across the Trance, Progressive and Techno spectrums. 
Having played for the likes of Anomaly, Trancecoda, Lost Society and Pulsate in Birmingham – his gigs have taken him around the country, Leicester, London, Manchester and beyond.
Vivida always emanates an infectious energy both in the DJ booth and on the dance floor.
Vivida shows passion and energy for dance music through his vibrant sets and mixes, heightened by a newfound integration of music production and shaking the airwaves with the monthly “Vivid Sessions show.
Born in the South West of England he grew up with electronic influences found in the UK Top 40 and Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems – recording tracks off the radio onto cassette tape, simultaneously stimulating a love of technology – which has been developed through his career as a Sound Engineer and Live events Technician.

Martin Ford’s career started out as most DJ’s do, as a clubber regularly frequenting Bakers in Birmingham. It’s here where he was introduced to the sounds of the DJ’s and Brands that would start to shape his career. With the likes of Richie Roberts at Love Sexy on Fridays, Scott Bond at Republica on Saturdays and Decadence on Wednesdays Martin was exposed to some of the most diverse music going around the UK in the early 90’s, He credits Sasha and Digweed as major inspiration and you can hear this echo through into his style today.
Martin was soon itching to get out and play, in 1996 he landed his first gig at The Attic in Birmingham. In 1998 Godskitchen offered up a residency alongside legend Chris Turner where he supported the biggest names in trance and house at the time keeping his residency for 3 years (no mean feat at a huge brand like that). 
Martin was also resident of B1 at bakers for 2 years too, there is not a venue in Birmingham, maybe even the midlands that Martin has not played in. In addition, 3 years of main season parties on Kavos for Limelight and Chequers. 
Martin also played Godskitchen summer ball at Milton Keynes in front of 6500 clubbers sandwiched between John Kelly and Tall Paul.
In 2002 Martin decided it was time to concentrate on other ventures and family and took a step back from the music scene. 
In early 2013, at a night called ME in Birmingham Martin played his first set in 11 years. He must have been bitten by the bug again as since then he has gone on to play as a headline for Birmingham brand Enter The Dragon and Presents a weekly show on Lockedinradio. 
July 2016 Martin became first resident of Anomaly in Birmingham where he has supported the likes of Thrillseekers, Matt Darey, Airwave, Agnelli & Nelson, Craig Connelly, Jordan Suckley, Ben Nicky and Jorn van Deynhoven to name but a few. 
In 2017 Martin took another step in his career by jumping into production with Dan Deas forming DD:MF who debuted their first track ‘Nymeria’ at Anomaly to a roar of screams from an adoring crowd. The track then went on to be remixed by Carl Nicholson and signed to Art Recordings. 
The future looks good for this legend of the scene.

Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes. My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds. My early years began listening to music from ABC, The Beatles, The Carpenters Dire Straits Eagles Fleetwood Mac Genesis Elton John Led Zeppelin Gilbert O'Sullivan Rod Stewart Supertramp Tangerine Dream Vangelis The Who and many more.
If you can't spot a trend in my current likes it may be because it is diverse. I love listening to all my playlists which contain tracks that I like and if you like any of the music you must thank the artists not me.
