"This mix is inspired by a recent trip to a magical island located off the coast of Scotland called the Holy Isle where I spent two weeks participating in two separate retreats to help me reconnect to myself. The island although recognised initially and given its name by Celtic Druids 1000's of years ago is currently in the hands of Tibetan Buddhist Monks.
As a visitor and participant of the retreats one of my Karma Yoga (The notion of giving back) to the island and those volunteers that run it, I was tasked with shovelling horse shite into my wheelbarrow every morning, to be later used to fertilise the vegetables or flowers that were planted by the monks and later cleaning out the toilets.
The Buddhist philosophy is to take pride and to give 100% of yourself to everything that you do no matter how menial or insignificant it may seem.
Aside from the notion of awareness, gratitude is a similarly core aspect to the Buddhist way of The Science of Happiness.
So this mix is dedicated to all the music makers that make my heart beat.
