Morning Light

A quick jam with the Korg PX5D portable guitar effects unit. I created a set of custom patches for lead, rhythm and bass guitars within the unit and recorded them using Logic 9.

A little jam I recorded over the weekend. The melody is based on a bossa nova-esque tune I wrote a few years back. The rhythm guitar is played in "La Pompe" style as found in gypsy jazz.

Testing out the new pitchshift~ object in Max 7. I routed an electric guitar into multiple instances of pitchshift~ which, in turn are routed into individual delay lines.

Further processing granulated guitar samples by mapping them to Logic's EXS24 sampler instrument allowing for a much wider range of harmonic possibilities whilst maintain a similar thematic timbre.

Test run with my new Ibanez RGA7 seven string! I'll be adding the lead guitars sometime later. 

WARNING! Guitar geekiness ahead: The active pickups respond VERY differently and new mix tactics were required. I drop tuned the guitars' low B to A for added weight. As usual I used the Pod X3 Live for all the guitars with post processing done in Reaper.

Shadows Between Stars

An ambient, improvised jam. Really wanted to record something for fun, without the stress of working on something from the upcoming album. Recorded and mixed in around 45 mins.
