Luke & I started this collab in Sydney at Turning Studios in between Stereosonic 2012 shows. We finished it for Ultra but were not quite happy with it then.

We finished last week with a battle of sessions sent through yousendit, arguing about the sound of the kick drum until the day before premiere.

When I opened my Tomorrowland set with it and saw 20k people punching the sky with their fist everytime the vocal says "blow", I had the feeling this was finally ready to be shared.

He tends to create music that emphasizes many characteristics that range from a variety of sub genres of rock. SHAEV has countless times labeled some of his content under the category "Rockstep", due to how different and unique his style is, and how there is nobody in the industry quite like him. His father showed him classic rock before he was even able to walk, and that left a lasting impact on him. His father is known in the music industry as an accredited drummer who has played with various bands and musicians, such as Bruce Springteen's E- Street Band.  Though SHAEV mainly does release rock/electro/dubstep inspired EDM, this doesn't limit him. He is an avid lover of rap and reggae music and aspires to release more of those genres in the near future. Along with his father, some of SHAEV's influences and inspirations are Nirvana, Bring Me The Horizon, Van Halen, Hollywood Undead, Diplo, Carnage, Sullivan King, Ookay, Excision, Dada Life, Kayzo, JAUZ, Lil Peep, Lil Wayne, Drake, Bob Marley, Kanye West, Lil Uzi Vert, XXXTentacion, Justin Bieber, and many others.
