It all started with a bootleg of Leave The World Behind I made for this summer that took a life of its own. After playing it out I really wanted to make it into a cover and release it. I could think of no one else to crush this harder than Kaleena, and she did. The original is a favorite of mine and I’m honored to have covered it.

I wrote this song with Yeah Boy at his parents house, in Adelaide, while I was touring Australia 2 years ago. I'm very excited to release it today, after spending months perfecting every little sound / melody! 

This song is out on my label BLUME, which means all of the proceeds from streams & sales will go to charity. Last year we raised $200,000 for Pencils of Promise, and 7 new schools will be built in South America from that fundraising by September 2017. Our next goal is to raise $30,000 for the ACLU, and this song will help contribute to that goal :) Once we've raised that, I wanna let you guys decide what charity we give to next! With ‘Solid Gold’, PNAU set out to capture the hypnotic, everlasting rhythm of old disco records. The song was inspired equal parts by Nick Littlemore’s explorations into world music and the sun drenched energy of Australia, incorporating live instrumentation to create a richer, fuller sound. It’s a banger built to soundtrack good times but, Littlemore says, it’s also about “the love of a best friend and being able to depend on people”.
