A really touching lyric which I strongly empathise with!. The music fits the words and the sentiment perfectly. A joy to listen to.

When I was a little lad, I loved the times we had with dad.  
He came home from work each day enjoying family time at night.
In summers he would come to all our games always sitting on our side.

Soon I grew and moved away, yet somehow by my side he stayed,
always giving me advice filling me with loving pride.
I would go through life smelling his Old Spice with him by my side. 

Even though he's gone I know he's by my side, 
standing here right next to me.
Whatever I may do, he's there to guide me through.  
I know that's where he'll always be.

This song was recorded on a TASCAM DR-05X on the 19th April 2025 at the Con Club in Lewes. We are planning to release a studio version at some point, but in the meantime here’s a live version. Sorry that the sound quality isn't great, but we're hoping the audience’s enthusiasm makes up for that :)

Gaz Brownie asked me if I would be interested in drumming on his awesome tribute to Mike Peters of The Alarm… I was like @ u kidding?? When do we start???! Both Gaz and I are rabid fans of a true legend, who had a big heart and kind soul! Mike Fox mixed and produced.. and probably played some instruments.. description is better @ Gaz Brownie’s site!! Hope you all enjoy a tribute to going out in a blaze of glory, through strength.. while marching on past the Deceiver!!

The Return of the Proctological Son

Just another nobody who's not here to be somebody.  I write songs because I can't help it, and it helps me.  If I add them here, I'm less likely to keep mixing them.  Creativity is a stream with many tributaries, and sometimes one runs through us.  The stream is more creative when tributaries meet, and I'm grateful for the collaborative efforts of others.
