allllllright, finally have my Fozzy Fest set up again for you guys, so stoked to have been asked to come for back for my 3rd year in a row to lay down some Saturday afternoon disco vibes. Fozzy is quickly becoming my favorite festival of the year, the love and community shown by the attendees and organizers is top notch and it radiates throughout the festival! Marty Funkhauser - Live @Fozzy Fest 2017

I cook while listening to music, sometimes I catch myself dancing while cutting things and think "hmm, yeah maybe not"...  Used to go clubbing a lot in my hometown of Victoria BC, but moved up north a little over a decade ago and Soundcloud is my club now lol.

Since getting his start in Vancouver over 25 years ago while crafting his signature funky sound and layered mixing Marty has carved out an admirable resume in a scene that he loves to give back and contribute to. He has been featured 3 times on DJ Dan's legendary Stereo Damage Podcast and has opened for a slew of legends including DJ Dan, A. Skillz, Krafty Kuts, Mr. Switch, Deekline, DJ Brace, Tommy Largo, Neon Steve, Funkanomics, Slynk, Featurecast, Basement Freaks as well as opening for Stickybuds numerous times in Nelson BC, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. His festival resume runs deep with multiple bookings at Shindig Festival (UK), Fozzy Fest, Astral Harvest,  Vibrant Music Festival, Bass in the Bush, Moab Utah Pride, Vancouver Pride, Edmonton Pride and the Disco Den in Wichita.  Marty has been a part of the LEMF crew here in Lethbridge since it's inception in 2012 and is current chair of the organizing committee. Marty is also the founder of LEMF Events which creates diverse events for the LGBTQ+ community year round while creating space for local artists with a strong eye towards community.

FunkinRight is all about fun and funky party music, and having a good time. 

This Canadian funk slangin producer has released over 23 tracks since 2019, with support from labels like Breakbeat Paradise, Render Recordings, Twists of Time, Wildfire Recordings, and B Nasty Beats. His genre jumping DJ style paved the way for multi-genre production, where he continues to push the limits and make beats outside the box.

FunkinRight’s musical CV is as long as it is funky, and he’s shared the stage many of his own inspirations including Askillz, Featurecast, Father Funk, JFB, Megan Hamilton, Phibes, Pineo & Loeb, The Sponges, WBBL, X-Ray Ted, and more. FunkinRight has also been blessed with funky sets at many amazing events including Burn in the Forest, Curiosity, FozzyFest, Freezerburn, Restart, Wicked Woods, Vibrant, and many more. 

It’s about living right, loving right, and treating people right. It’s about doing what you love, with the people you love to do it with, and always (always) staying funky.
