CREATE your own dance ceremony at home.
This mix was created for the incredible Boulder community February 1, 2025
on the half way mark between the equinox and the solstice. 

This musical curation is for you set your sacred space weather it at your home studio sanctuary or living room, and embark on an intentional movement journey with yourself or with others. You can utilize the long luxurious chimes and nature sounds at the beginning to transition, to collect your water, to beautify your space or to begin to drop in to your internal landscape.

Start Slow. Arrive into the presence. Feel the sensations of your breath as it enters and exists your body, and as the music and rhythm unfold, keep entering into the physical gateways of your body. 

Perhaps TUNE into the bones of your body at first one at a time, then multiple. Eventually TUNE your attention to bones moving muscle, stretching, lengthening, folding, allow it to feel good. 

When you have created an environment within yourself by moving your phsyical body, allowing space for the heart to be included, your mind will quiet, and at this moment, your deep true intention for this medicine dance will have space to emerge.  

Allow your intention for this dance to seed deep within you, and then allow yourself to be taken on the journey that this musical curation will allow.

Shifting the mood

At the BEYOND festival I was honoured to play two dj-sets. Starting in the afternoon at The Pheromone Temple (set up by the EDIT Festival orgnaisation) and later in the evening doing a bouncing set at the Golden Temple area.

This is the recorded set of the Pheromone Temple. It is a mix of slow (mindbending) house tracks mixed with percussive etnic tracks mostly from the Latin Americas.

BEYOND Festival - Pheromone Tempel - 16-05-2015 - Dj Martyn Zij

I recorded this sound journey with my Native American flute at sunrise in my home in Ibiza, surrounded by nature, birdsong, and the stillness of the early morning.

It was 6am , just before the sun kissed the earth. The sky was painted in soft colors, the air smelled fresh with pine and dew, and the forest around me was waking up slowly. 
These moments — when the world is quiet and our hearts are open — are a portal to deep gratitude and presence .

Waking up early is a sacred practice. Pure inspiration, clarity, and connection to spirit. 
Silence & Peace.

Movement is a live DJ set of ecstatic dance in the dark by Yaniv Tzadick
