New Growth

Rise up through tired winter beds,
A leaf or two at first, and then...
An eruption of yellow and green
The splendor of nature's birthday suit
Comes clean again.

The forest shows the way to spring,
this rebirth, will rebirth, our rebirth.
And so tired eyes rub themselves awake,
To plant naked dancing feet 
Upon this Evergreen floor. 

We as a community come side-by-side
Circled up, and ready to ride,
This wave, this journey, this cycle.
With nature as our guide,
Our rebirth, will rebirth, this new earth.

I recorded this set on April 3, 2022 for the Asheville Movement Collective were I reside as a facilitator and mix maker. The set was crafted with me pulling an all nighter the night before to design the wave and practice it, and then I played it live with a few adjustments to fit the vibe of the dance floor. 

All of the artist names and track titles are noted by me in the comments. Mahalo to all the musical artists and the many cultures that helped produce the music I use to craft this journey. 

I'm also happy to share a poem I wrote as an intention to this Sunday morning dance. Blessings to all those who honor the act of dance as medicine.

New Growth {Ecstatic Dance Mix by MIKAYA}

The soul is what unites all the peoples and tribes of the earth. It expresses itself through music, our universal language.
That is why this EP is named « Alma ».

Inspired by melodies from South America, Africa, Siberia, Scandinavia… Alma takes you on a journey in which traditional melodies are enhanced by deep/organic electronic grooves.


> Amazonia : Through native  flute and traditional chants, this track highlights the music of the Yawanawa people, from the Brazilian Amazon.

> Tundra : Discover the raw yet beautiful music of Siberia. Tundra makes you feel like you are inside spiritual Siberian ceremony. 

> Independencia : In this track, a traditional Qechua song about the independence of Peru is accompanied by Andean melodies of quena flute.

> Roots : This song embodies the warmth and beauty of Kenyan music. It is an immersion in a Maasai village party.

> Altaï : This very orchestral track embodies the power of Mongolian music, through dysphonic chants and tribal rhythms

> Valhalla : The last track of the EP is the deepest one. Its slow and heavy rhythm evolves toward a more energetic vibe, alongside traditional Nordic instruments.

May the music warm our hearts and the little plant of peace grow in us, so that we can create it in ourselves and everywhere in the world.

May peace be within us and EVERYWHERE in the world!

Resueño is excited to share @caropampillo's new album, OMYSTICA. This project has been a deeply personal journey, shaped by her experiences with plant medicine ceremonies and her quest to align her true purpose as an artist. Inspired by these experiences, she's channeled deep, immersive sounds and shamanic chants into this record.

OMYSTICA blends ambient and cinematic soundscapes designed to create a space for diving deep and flowing out, embracing and letting go, healing and transformation. Each track features live loops of her voice, various instruments, natural sounds, and more, all recorded in her home studio. Her goal is to inspire and support others on their healing journeys, using sound as a means of exploration and growth.

This DJ set mirrors inner growth, unfolding like a tree. It starts in the roots with deep bass and low beats, grounding the journey. Rising through world music rhythms that builds strength. This EP was created with the intention to activate the dorment memories of our cosmic origins residing deep within the codings of our DNA. It's an initiation ceremony into the medicine of  „Taita Inti, Grandfather Sun“ intented to help us to ground and embody the higher vibrational energies emanating from the Galactic Central Sun „Hunab Ku“. It seeks to awake our divine being and integrate our multi-dimensional aspects into this current human experience. A gentle yet powerful reminder that NOW is the time to step into our full potential as creator-beings embracing all life as a sacred expression of the one prime creator. 

In deep meditation Xuqutopi connected with his higher-self and received light codes and 
starseed-activations that he translated into music during a recording session charged with powerful full moon energies. Accompanied by Stefan Kronsteiner on his self-built spirit flutes Xuqutopi has created organic  tracks and atmospheric sound landscapes that evoke a deep sense of peace and serenity which allows us to feel home and at ease and provides the ideal soundtrack for far reaching explorations into the uncharted territories of our infnite consciousness.
