God, born LaQuetta Shonise Covington in Charlotte, NC, is an American songwriter & lyricist, best known as a criminal defense & fathers’ rights attorney.  A published author, “What About My Hair” and “My Daddy Takes An Airplane To Work,” reflect personal glimpses into life as a former military wife and mother. God wrote her first single, “Goodbye,” and released it on YouTube under the name F1rst Lady. After co-writing “Black Diamond,” EP, the pair shared success with fans as they were featured artists with ‘Thisis50’; ‘Desert Storm Radio’; ‘Hood Illustrated’; and more. Taking it one step further for the people...they took their identity literally and became known as BestFriend🎼. 


BestFriend🎼 received their music education from Grammy award-winning producers at Extreme Institute by Nelly, before releasing Benz Truck, the duo’s first official release as a group. Benz Truck is trending on radios around the nation and also available on all digital platforms. Street Bible, re-released through Sony music. “Shorty So Fly”, the first single won a slot on the Coast2Coast #NEXTUP mixtape volume 337 and an article in issue #70 of Coast2Coast magazine. “Black Diamond,” was released in 2017 with F1rst Lady, under the name John Deux Live. It was his third album.

Begun writing in rhymes as a form of therapy since 3rd grade. Joined a group of rappers called Back to basics where he begun rapping and recording back in 90s with a simple 4 track. Later was found hanging round another group called Rising Sun.  Where he finally hit the studio. again  

By 2018 Storm finally gain confidence within himself to begin learning how to produce and record his own music, yet on a more professional level. Training himself to be comfortable, along with the help of his producer who taught him how to use the basic tools to produce and record his own music. 

Soon joining you tube just to upload his music then delete them and do it again. Lol Never happy on the way Storm claims he sounds on a recording and always trying to out do myself. Storm's writing style can be found on many writing platforms such as rap pad.  

I'll say there is about 50 plus recorded tracks completed within a 5 year period.  Their slowly being uploaded.  Hope you enjoy them. Even thou I produce and record my own just know.... you'll never get that sound quality a studio can produce at home unless your some millionaire!. ..... and it makes all the difference to the listener! 
Go to the studio, build a relationship..... learn! learn! learn!!
