Regarded upon his 2006 arrival as a promising beatmaker looming in the shadows of J Dilla, Madlib, waterfalls and Dabrye, Steven Ellison -- known as Flying Lotus -- nullified all comparisons only two years later with Los Angeles. On that album, his first of five for the Warp label, Ellison distilled a uniquely crisp, spasmodic, and heady sound with elements of hip-hop, avant-garde jazz, IDM, and dubstep. While the abovementioned producers fueled Ellison, he had also been excited as a youngster by the '90s West Coast rap classics that combined programming and live instrumentation. His sound continued to develop as he put his own twist on the approach, recording with a crop of jazz musicians including the indispensable likes of bassist Thundercat and strings master Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. This process began with the turbulent 2010 set Cosmogramma and peaked in terms of acclaim in 2014 with You're Dead!, which crashed the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and spawned the Kendrick Lamar collaboration "Never Catch Me," a Grammy nominee for Best Dance Recording. Ellison devoted a few years to various forms of film work and the operation of his revered Brainfeeder label, and returned in 2019 with Flamagra, his second consecutive album to top Billboard's Dance/Electronic chart.

Fuzz Huzzi has been a mainstay of the San Diego music scene since 1993. After a brief hiatus they are back with a fresh line up and new batch of songs. The trend of very personal and emotional lyrics with a high intensity live show for which the band gained renown over the years strives to reach new hights.

Guitarist, vocalist and song writer Allen Camp has spend twenty five years telling his story of life in a difficult upbringing on the streets of Imperial Beach California in song. He continues to wear his heart on his sleeve and be very open about his struggles as a working musician, the toal that touring takes on his family and the challenges of growing up with parents who spent most of his childhood fighting addiction. He has found an affective method for combining these complex topics with hard-driving Rock-N-Roll in to a blistering live set.


Frank Mercurio, bass, and Cory Wilkins, drums, are the new comers to the group, but each brings over twenty years of their own professional experience to the band. Derik spent most of the 2000s on major tours with Cypress Hill." Wilkins played drums as a youth, but became an award winning frontman and song writer during his twenties and early thirties. He rediscovered his love for drums filling in with Fuzz Huzzi for a set in Phoenix AZ in 2018 and has not looked back.

The future for Fuzz Huzzi has never looked so bright. With a new release in 2019 and an ever growing live schedule, the band is determined to build on their legacy rather than sit back and simply relive past victories
