I use music as a sort of meditation, I find a guitar pattern and keep playing it in a loop, then I listen out for a melody and start humming along. Soon words form and I have a song. This one just came as one piece as I was writing and recording simultaneously at about 2am.
Its about depression and how you have to be your own best friend and to gently keep yourself on track.

7 Weeks

I wrote this song when I first arrived in Spain in 2017. It was the end of a very hot summer and there had been no rain for months, everyone's Wells were dried up and the land was dusty and cracked.
I remember being sat in a hammock in the shade and Tom Shackleton started to play his guitar, the sound he was creating reminded me of rain and really hooked me. I wrote the lyrics and melody and 'Just One Drop' was created. 
One hour later it started to rain for the first time in months!!
This song is close to my heart.
