Welcome to the 42nd episode of the Masala Movement Podcast series. This time we have invited an experimental Jazz band named C.A.R from Cologne, Germany. It was founded in 2011 by Johannes Klingebiel (drums) and Ken Hartwig (bass). Further band members are Leonhard Huhn (saxophone, eletronics, voice) and Christian Lorenzen (wurlitzer, synthesizer). Their sound is more than Jazz, it is an amalgamation of Krautrock, Electronica and experimental Pop. They have released six records and have played at festivals such as Fusion Festival, Jazzfest Kolkata and Casa Banchel in Madrid. Apart from that they have showcased their inimitable sound in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and China.
