The iconic club by the Spree celebrates 20 years with a mammoth 20 track compilation of new and unreleased tracks exclusive to the compilation. From Sasha to Anja Schneider, Henrik Schwarz and Adana Twins, right through to the ascendent names such as JAMIIE, Kristin Velvet, JOPLYN and Biesmans, the compilation is an exhilarating snapshot of some of the artists who have shaped Watergate’s sound; both via the label and through laying down unforgettable sets at the club over a two-decade period. 
 
The highlight heavy compilation charts a course throughout all the deep, dark, euphoric, tech and even pop-laden corners of house music. Henrik Schwarz navigates a classic course via the vibey ‘You Need Attitude’, while JOPLYN brings soaring melodies and arresting vox with ‘Lima’. Biesmans is in characteristic sleek form with the sparkling nostalgic-soaked business of ‘Basic Bro’, before emerging stars Mia Mendi contribute a driving electro jam ‘Astromech’. 
 
The iconic Anja Schneider is an essential addition. The Berlin icon brings her A-Game with the big piano chords and gospel vocals of ‘Can’t You See Me No More’ before handing the baton to Extrawelt who comes strong with a delicious micro house serenade ‘Rover’. Sasha weaves a trademark masterful beast with ‘Wolf Cider, a dark and twisted weapon that’s packed with plenty of groove and low-end attitude. First premiered during her excellent Boiler Room session in 2019, Kristin Velvet’s ‘Wanted Competition’ is a propulsive gem that reinforces her position as one of the most exciting breakout producers of the last two years. 
 
Adana Twins are always on-point and they don’t disappoint with ‘Nacht’ a deviant, distorted house tool the belongs in every DJ’s back pocket. Matthias Meyer & Ryan Davis enjoy a superlative history on Watergate Records and share another ace ‘Genki’, a shimmering, drama-laden piece that morphs into a tougher psy-laden finish. New Watergate Agency signing DJEFF crafts an uplifting string-laden ace with ‘Cloud 7, showing off his impressive musicianship along the way, while Hyenah make an essential contribution with the funky key-driven houser ‘Going in Circles’. Club resident JAMIIE shares the wicked ‘Echoes’, which is pacey and hypnotizing in equal measures and brought to life by colourful arpeggios and a latticework of key patterns. The project rounds out on a stunning note with ‘Tone Trails’, a lilting slice of electronica by Watergate stalwart Marco Resmann & Lee Jones, which is inflected with organic guitar and dreamy melodies. 
 
The release will be presented as a triple gatefold vinyl using a special ink-spot color effect and will feature a collection of the compilation’s key tracks, while all tracks will be available digitally.

Here comes the very first official DJ Set from the location "Fridas Pier" for "United We Stream" - Stuttgart, broadcasted by ARTE Concerts. Who better than Stuttgarts resident Konstantin Sibold is the man to bring out this Kick Off Set for us. 
Starting with a bomb Track by Cinar, an act from Kairo Konstantin is introducing the sound of Fridas Pier with ship sirens and sexy pumping sound structures and deep baselines. Followed by a straight set structure with melodic and progressive influences we are happy to release this fine Set through the Function One Soundsystem at the boat.

Masaya aka Claudya

Claudya, also known as Masaya, is a Chilean-born producer who has been a key figure in the Swiss electronic music scene since she started exploring clubs at the age of 15. In 2001, she ventured into DJing, quickly earning a residency at Lausanne’s iconic D! Club, which launched her onto the Swiss and international stages.

In 2005, she began producing her own music and founded Mina Records, with the aim of providing a platform for emerging talent and remixes by artists such as Ripperton, Dave DK, Petar Dundov, Dana Ruh, and Sei A. The label’s mission was to introduce a more feminine and sensual touch to a male-dominated industry at the time. Mina Records became known for its diverse range of music, offering everything from tribal rhythms to hypnotic vocals and seductive atmospheres, catering to both dreamers and dancers alike.

From 2010 to 2017, Masaya hosted the show "Atakama" on Couleur 3, one of Switzerland’s leading radio stations, where she showcased a wide spectrum of genres, from hip hop to electro-pop, dark techno, and house.

In 2017, she released her debut album, "Picking of the Piece" on Chapter 24, featuring remixes by Ripperton, Petar Dundov, Johannes Brecht, and Patrice Baumel. This expanded her technique and led to live performances at events like Label Suisse and DJ Mag in London.

After taking a brief break to focus on production, Masaya returned with a renewed vision, releasing her EP "Hey Kid" in collaboration with Ripperton. The EP included two tracks: "Can You Realize" and "Hey Kid," with versions from both Ripperton and Masaya. Her version of "Hey Kid" reached John Digweed, who purchased it and included it in the Fabric club compilation in London.

Following an intense studio year in 2022, Masaya released her EP "Little Brother" on Bedrock Records and was also featured in the Quattro compilation with her track “Volar.” In 2024, she released her second EP, "Resilience", which includes four tracks now being played worldwide. John Digweed praised her work, stating, "In February, Claudia (Mina Records-Claudya) sent me a selection of demos. After listening multiple times, I couldn’t pick a favorite, so I signed all four. Claudia is an incredibly talented producer, with each track conveying a unique emotional depth."

Masaya’s journey is just beginning. Her next EP is set for release on her label Mina records in december 2024, featuring a remix by Quenum. She is also preparing her second album, expected in 2025.

After a challenging year, Masaya took a much-needed break, but she returns stronger than ever and plans to resume her DJ career soon.
