After delivering an electrifying remix of Folgar & Chumbita’s Meltdown in late 2024, Portuguese producer Vini Pistori returns to Kiosk ID with ‘Life’—a four-track EP that threads technical sophistication and suspended emotion into a sprawling brand of hypnotic, floor-focused energy. Drawing on personal memory, Life reads like an audio diary—intensely textured, lushly composed, and grounded in a powerfully human sonic philosophy.   ‘The Green Tree’ is a lush, atmospheric groover. Built around a lively bassline and rustling found-sound percussion, the opener progressively transforms quivering pulses and wondersome chord progressions into a melodic flurry of energy, ever sharper and more electric. Named after a beloved tree in his partner’s family home, The Green Tree quietly pulses with emotional gravity—lush, alive, and becoming.   ‘Underneath Waters’ dives into a shimmering ocean of resonant percussion and ethereal melody. Anchoring the track with a stripped-down, effective groove, Vini Pistori channels an orchestra of soft, echoing bells and otherworldly whale calls. Melancholic and beautifully vibrant, Underneath Waters delivers a throbbing groover that supercharges the listener's imagination.   With ‘Tenebroso’, Pistori ventures into darker territory. Taut and industrial, the track pulses with mangled bells, eerie LFOs, and nightmarish synth flickers. Darkly oscillating across tightly wound, cerebral groove structures, Tenebroso unfolds a masterclass on the interplay of tension and relief.   On the closing track, ‘Relief,’ Pistori fully opens the emotional aperture. A carpet of oscillating saws glides warmly across shaker-led percussion and softly rolling toms. Bursting with hope and clarity, Relief is a deep sonic exhale—a shimmering anthem of presence, peace, and letting go.   Across Life, Vini Pistori fuses organic and synthetic textures, weaving deeply personal stories into immersive and highly danceable soundscapes. The result is an emotive EP rooted both in the serene stillness of a tree and the murky depths of the unknowable ocean—a delicate balancing act that makes Life all the more compelling.

Steve Gemmell is a DJ and an artist from the United Kingdom, a dedicated music lover and the man behind the Poisonoise project. Over the last 18 months his mixes found their place up to some great labels, such as Hello Strange, Deep Electronics and Moshitaka.  Poisonoise joins Ultra Deep Field Podcast with this mind-opening DJ set, that will guide you  through a journey beyond comprehension. Solidarity in Times of Corona means: #leavenoonebehind
We’re experiencing an unparalleled humanitarian, sanitary and political catastrophe. In face of the global Corona-Pandemic we need to act solidly united more than ever and support those who are particularly affected. Those are the elderly, poor, homeless, immunocompromised people and moreover the refugees and displaced people at the European borders.

For how long can a person bear the inhumane conditions at the EU-borders? The circumstances in the camps on the Greek islands have been worsening for years. People seeking protection on the Greek islands and at the borders are exposed to heavy violence and systematic discrimination. Greece and the EU have in fact abolished basic human rights and the right for asylum in the past weeks. Refugees are being fired at, the conditions in camps like Moria are purposely kept inhumanely because the EU aims to deter those seeking shelter. Lawlessness is dominating where solidarity and humanity are needed the most. The situation in the overcrowded camps is disastrous and it lacks everything from medical aid to basic sanitary needs. The people are defencelessly exposed to the pandemic as they are trapped and isolated on the islands. Protective measures which are being carried out on the European mainland are simply impossible to be employed in the camps. (See more: seebruecke.org/leave-no-one-behind/)

In Moria, water is becoming rare and is distributed in dangerously low rations – immediate support is required now. Based on the statement by the NGO Seebrücke our collective has decided to publish a Soli-compilation as quick as possible. The compilation will be divided into 3 EPs which will be released on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday of the coming week. A variety of artists – 16 in total – from many different genres of electronic music will be on the release, contributing to the project. We are aware that this is only a drop in the bucket in times like these. However, any form of solidarity is needed at the moment . You can get the EPs at Bandcamp and all the money made from this will directly be donated to the NGO “Mission Lifeline“. (https://mission-lifeline.de)

20 releases! That is no small achievement!
Greyscale wishes to thank it's loyal listeners with a special treat from their founder. grad_u went deep into the archive and has collected 12 unreleased before tracks ranging from 2006 to 2016. This goes back to the time of his very first releases up through to the beginnings of the Mood Series! In those 10 years there is a lot of various sides to the grad_u sound that this highlight's. From powerful bangers like 'Helix' and 'Nuclear Reactor' to dancefloor gems such as 'Biomechanics' and 'DX'. Then there are sure fire winners for the tech fans with 'Vacuum Cleaner' and 'Machine'. grad_u hasn't forgot those that love it extra deep with 'Taip Laukiu' and 'Bounce 06'. There is also a few special checkpoints along the way in this release that will help you bookmark all these great tracks. Half way through, check out the grainy outerspace static in 'Sputnik' and to complete the release, the powerful and immense beatless monster that is 'Thamu'.
