Going right back to 1992-1993 with a selection inspired by old C90 tapes filled with London based pirate radio recordings from Pulse FM, Impact FM, Kool and Weekend Rush etc. 
DJs like Warlock, Skie, Transit and Jinx amongst others… 
A few of those original tapes got chewed up by my Walkman at the time and sadly there was no fix for that, just game over. 
Nice to go back and recreate the style of the sets I was listening to back then (unfortunately minus the chat and adverts which added a lot of atmospherics).

Come With Me: Made in 2005, this is a fairly straight up dance track made on Reason featuring a well known vocal sample (Pin Up Girls - Take Me Away) with a strong bass line, synth stabs and break beats.  A new track with an older feel.

I can't remember whether this track was written for the vocals, or if the vocals were added after the track was made...

Just mastered for 2017, have not altered the mixdown, may have tidied up the bass slightly after I found a quirk of Reasons that duplicates & inverts the wave phase.

My second retrospective voyage into the soundtrack favoured by my 16-year-old self - this time I had my sights firmly set on 1992. Loads of different vibes on this one from proto-jungle and darkcore through hard acid techno to euphoric breakbeat rave. So many memories associated with these tunes! Autobiography Of A Rave Kid Part II

The Essential Mix is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 - 2:00 AM UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong. With a broadcast run in excess of 25 years, the Essential Mix is one of the longest-running programmes in the current BBC Radio 1 schedule, and is one of very few Radio 1 shows which is not broadcast live.

Back when I didn't know what I was doing with my life, I made some music.  I'm going to gradually put some of it on here.  Some of it will be available on Bandcamp if you like it.  It has been influenced mostly by dance music, electronica, house, happy hardcore & drum 'n' bass.
More recently I tend to take other peoples melodies and build up my own track around those.
