Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

• Good deeds that are sources of charity for the Muslim.

• Daily charity that is due upon every person.

• The mindset we need to have regarding acts of charity.

• Examples of acts of charity that do not require wealth.

• Rectifying between two disputing parties.

• A hadīth that should be sufficient for us to put aside any personal differences we may have.

• The reward for the one who leaves off argumentation and disputation even if he is in the right.

• “…Let them pardon and forgive. Do you not love that Allāh should forgive you? And Allāh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” [Sūrah an-Nūr 24:22]

• “There is no good in most of their secret talks save (in) him who orders sadaqah, or ma’rūf, or conciliation between mankind, and he who does this, seeking the good Pleasure of Allāh, We shall give him a great reward.” [Sūrah an-Nisā 4:114]

• The recompense for aiding our brothers (and sisters).

• “See you not how Allāh sets forth a parable? A goodly word as a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the sky (i.e. very high).” [Sūrah Ibrāhīm 14:24]

• The reward for walking to the prayer.

• Encouragement to remove harmful objects from the pathways.

• Actions that are from the best and worst of the deeds.

[01/08/2025] Desiring the Hereafter Necessitates Abstinence from the Life of the World - By Shaykh Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

- The reality of the dunyā and how we should view it in relation to the ākhirah. 

- The necessity of abandoning the dunyā for the one who truly desires the ākhirah. 

- Two affairs the slave must ponder upon in order to establish zuhd. 

- The nature of the dunyā. 

- The consequences of greedily striving for the dunyā. 

- The nearness of the ākhirah.

- The ākhirah in comparison to the dunyā.

- That which is necessitated by sound intellect.

- “Verily the likeness of (this) worldly life is as the water (rain) which We send down from the sky, so by it arises the intermingled produce of the earth of which men and cattle eat until when the earth is clad with its adornments and is beautified, and its people think that they have all the powers of disposal over it, Our Command reaches it by night or by day and We make it like a clean-mown harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday! Thus do We explain the āyāt in detail for the people who reflect. Allāh calls to the home of peace and guides whom He wills to a Straight Path.” [Sūrah Yūnus 10:24-25]

Desiring the Hereafter Necessitates Abstinence from the Life of the World By Abu Fudayl

[01/08/2025] Part Two - Al-‘Allāmah Rabee’ Al-Madkhali on the Methodology of Giving Da’wah with Wisdom & Understanding.

- The necessity of implementing noble manners when calling to Allāh, and the result of doing so.
- A warning against causing people to flee from this da’wah.
- The accusations of those with destructive extremism. 
- The manner in which one should call to Allāh. 
- An affair that will make da’wah easier when calling the ignorant and Ahlul-Bid’ah. 
- Things the caller should refrain from at the beginning of his da’wah. 
- Examples of how to give da’wah to different groups from Ahlul-Bid’ah. 
- Shaykh Rabī’s visit to Sudan in 1392.

Questions:
1. What is your advice to an adult who looks around during the salāh?
2. How does one go about giving da’wah to those who blindly follow the madhhabs and other shaykhs, and is blind following permissible at any stage?
3. If a family member (uncle or auntie) holds beliefs like voting is kufr without restrictions and praying in masjids such as this one may invalidate their prayer, are they to be described as Ashābul-Bid’ah if the matters are clarified to them with precision and with the speech of the scholars?
4. What is the ruling of the one who is reading from the mushaf in the salāh and those who put their hands on one side covering their heart instead of placing it across the chest?
5. What is your advice to a young sister whose father would prefer for her to get married to someone in the family and she herself wants to get married to someone upon Salafiyyah? It is very difficult to reason with the father.
6. From my brothers is one who has stopped praying Fajr and he has started taking from the beard and has taken on western ideas such as the ‘law of attraction’. This morning other siblings followed him in missing the Fajr prayer despite me severely admonishing him in front of them with āyāt and hadīth. 
7. Question regarding the ruling of qaza’. 


Part 2 Al-‘Allāmah Rabee’ on the Methodology of Giving Da’wah By Abu Khadeejah

[08/08/2025] Indeed, the Hearing, the Sight and the Heart - About All Those [One] Will Be Questioned - Khuṭbah by Shaykh Uways At-Ṭaweel حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

- Qatādah (رحمه الله) on the verse, “And Allāh has brought you out from the wombs of your mothers while you know nothing. And He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts that you might give thanks (to Allāh).” [Sūrah an-Nahl 16:78]

- Abū ad-Dardā (رضى الله عنه) on the verse, “And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see?” [Sūrah adh-Dhāriyāt 51:21]

- “And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.” [Sūrah al-Isrā’ 17:36]

- A warning against using these blessings for other than what they were created for. 

- Shaykh as-Sa’dī (رحمه الله) on the verse, “It is those who believe and confuse not their belief with zulm, for them (only) there is security and they are the guided.” [Sūrah al-An’ām 6:82]

- Taking ourselves to account before we are taken to account. 

- The reason for the revelation of the verse, “Say (O Muḥammad ﷺ to mankind): ‘If you (really) love Allāh then follow me, Allāh will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allāh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.’” [Sūrah Āli ‘Imrān 3:31]

- Loving and hating for the Sake of Allāh. 

- The meeting between Abū Idrīs al-Khawlānī (رحمه الله) and Mu’ādh b. Jabal (رضى الله عنه), and the great station of loving for the Sake of Allāh.

- The outcome on the Day of Judgement for those who loved each other for other than the Sake of Allāh. 

- Al-Junayd (رحمه الله) on the reality of gratitude. 

- Abū Hāzim Salamah b. Dīnār (رحمه الله) on the blessing that becomes a calamity. 

- Shaykh as-Sa’dī (رحمه الله) on the reason why the hearing, sight and heart are frequently mentioned together in the Qur’ān.

- ‘Abdullāh b. Mas’ūd (رضى الله عنه) on the reality of knowledge. 

- The loftiness of knowledge and our dire need for it. 

- Hudhayfah (رضى الله عنه) on the four types of hearts. 

- ‘Abdullāh b. Mas’ūd (رضى الله عنه) on the light of knowledge.
