It's the favorite track of many.. compressed into 8 channels with mainly FF6 samples. More than 36 hours was spent on this, trying to find the most important things of the original song and squeezing it all in there, keeping track of every little thing, pushing the limits of the SNES as far as it can go. Made in Super Mario World using AddMusicK.

Many thanks to @potato-tan for helping me out a lot with this one, constantly giving me feedback and pushing me so far to make this perfect.

I always felt that many of the SMG arrangements out there felt lacking, so that's why I did this. I wanted to prove that the SPC700 can sound just as amazing as modern technology with the right execution, and I feel like it worked out just fine.

Sample sources: Final Fantasy VI, Megaman 7,  General MIDI, Gradius III, Parodius, Hourai Gakuen no Bouken.

In total there's 14 quite big samples in the song, with 112ms of delay. For the SNES, this is pretty much pushing the limits, because the ARAM is about as full as it can be for the song.

Super Mario Galaxy - Buoy Base [SPC700 arrangement]

This is the counterpart song to the Celestion piece. Dascillia is a much more technologically advanced country directly to the north of Celestion. Dascillia has railroads, guns, steam power, and gas lanterns (most of which are only just barely catching on in Celestion.)  
Currently, Dascillia has cast off its ties with the church of the Goddess Elia, and taken up worship of a person (or perhaps an idea) known as the God of Fate. This, of course, makes the church of Elia a tidbit displeased, and soon enough, they've dispatched their private Holy Army to put a stop to all this 'demon worship.'  In the end, Celestion, having little seperation of church and state, gets sucked into what becomes a war, and the player's group, who really just kind of wants to get the heck out of Celestion, ends up caught up in the conflict.

Symphony of Blistered Skies [Dascillia Field]

From the first 'season' of my project.

Throughout the course of the first season, the countries of Dascillia and Celestion are at war. One country is supported by the army of the church of the Goddess, Elia. The other has received a few garrisons of men from the Aegiys Guard, a highly trained religious group that worships many Gods.
These two groups wage war via Celestion and Dascillia, in one of the first direct conflicts between the two religions in Elancian history.
Unfortunately for both countries, they are now tearing each other apart for reasons far bigger than either of them, and the ones who pay the heftiest price are those caught in the middle.
The player group rather unfortunately runs head-long into this conflict on an un-related task, and their destinies are forever altered. 

This song carries the leitmotif from the first season, "Blistered Skies" which can be heard in all 3 field maps for season 1, and the season 1 ending. :D

War Torn Fields

It's here! Hotel Dusk has a great soundtrack, and I thought it'd be awesome to SNES-ify one of my favorite tracks from the game. This one was lots of fun to do, and I hope you all enjoy it!

[SPC700] Pink Rabbit (Hotel Dusk: Room 215 Arrangement)

I've actually been making a ton of music for this project lately, I've just been afraid to post it too fast. >~>; I'm also sitting on about 200 songs I've already written for it, but I digress.

Depending on the time of day when the party reaches the Dascillia side, either this, or the night version plays.
Mitala isn't a very big town, and mostly thrives on the mines nearby that travel under the river separating the two countries.   
Before the war, these mines were caught up in court, due to the fact that it couldn't be determined where exactly they were, in relation to the border, but now that the war has started, it looks like that is no longer a worry.
It isn't a particularly large town, but a pleasant one, nonetheless. War hasn't yet touched it.

Prairie Life [DAY]

This is a scene song from my personal project, Elancia Chronicles.

This plays during scenes of regret -- especially immediately after mistakes are made, and the consequences have played out.  These scenes are often dialogue-heavy, as characters generally don't just 'move on' in this story. It takes them a long time to process what they've seen, internalize it, and try to sort out exactly what they think and feel as a result.

Honestly, I'm moooostly happy with it, but there's a couple parts I will be going back to iron out later (for instance, there's one place where I completely screwed up while recording the guitar track. xD)

What I Have Done

Another favorite of many, compressed into 8 channels with Final Fantasy 6 samples.

Man, this one was fun to do. Finding the right nuances for everything, the accenting on the notes, all the details that are in there. It was a tough thing to fit in, but sure as hell worth it.

Mega Man 9 - Dr. Wily Stage 1 ~ Flash in the Dark [SNES SPC700]

First one I did entirely by myself! ...with a slight bit of help from @harumi-makoto telling me how to fade a note out and that my echo volume was off. But other than that, first SPC I've done confidently without help :D

Did this mainly as it's one of my favourite MM9 tunes and I wanted to get more accustomed to doing more SPC stuff. I guarantee that it'll be more regular from now on.

First time I've done an SPC without any midi to mml conversion tools and I'm slowly getting more confident in the absolute ballache that is mml! Thanks to @harumi-makoto for helpful advice when making this and ValleyBell for his awesome smps2mid tool so I could have the original sequence data in a digestable form.

The menu music from the Super Nintendo Classic Edition playing on a real Super Nintendo!

All the samples were painstakingly ripped from the actual recording utilizing every phase trick I knew.

Made with SNESMod. MOD files have poor pitch bend resolution the faster the patterns play. I couldn't do the bends in the end without speeding up the patterns and they would have sounded like butt. So I cheated and they're sampled. Barely managed to get it under 64K.

Echo setting 6 (96ms. The original version of the song did not conform to the echo limitations of the real SPC700. This got close, though)

Strings were ripped from Mario 64 DS, since they were the closest sounding sample to the one used in the original version.

An original of mine suited for a final boss, I would assume! I originally came up with the title on a whim as I was in the middle of writing a lot of Sonic themed tracks. This one in particular I liked as it was the one track that stood out among the rest, I think! Rather happy with it.

Hardboiled Final Battle [Sega Mega Drive / YM2612]

For fun, and for something that might or might not happen, I've made this today! I tried to get a Streets of Rage and Sonic style vibe while still putting my own spin on it. I think I've succeeded, so I hope you enjoy! :)

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - Pon Pon Pon (YM2612 mock)

Just some fun FM stuff! Would mostly work on the Genesis, if it wasn't for me using Araya's vocal line...

The PSG was fun as hell to write! I love doing improvised stuff like that.

Slayer - Raining Blood ~ Black Magic (WIP)

The follow ups to Hardboiled Final Challenge!

This was the first track I made after not using VOPM for a good while (for originals, anyway). It was intended to be completely Genesis compatible as I was writing it for a Sonic Thrash reboot, something that may or may not happen.

The feeling I had in mind for this track was something like the MMX intro stages, so I wanted an epic pumping track with a catchy melody. I think I really succeeded on that front, so yeah! Would also fit for a frantic boss fight.

Breaking Point [Sega Mega Drive / YM2612]

This was written right after Breaking Point. I wanted to get something like the Thunder Force boss themes, but slow and heavy. It's slow and heavy, but not all that interesting. Still, a neat track!

Hey, Egghead [Sega Mega Drive / YM2612]

Egg puns are fun.

Again, another boss theme. This one's a lot more interesting than the last one, though; It has SOME sort of melody. =P

Also, ripping off the Seek and Destroy drum fills at the loop was fun hahaha

Eggcellent Challenge [Sega Mega Drive / YM2612]

This was fun as hell to do. I've always wanted to do my own spin on Corridor of Time! The only thing that put me off is the amount of times it's been done, but I think my take on it is pretty unique. :)

I was mostly inspired by deadmau5 and Hybrid for this one. I'd been wanting to do progressive house for a while since I haven't done it in ages, and I couldn't come up with anything... suddenly this came into my head and here we are!

I really hope you enjoy this one.
