Flexy Ferg’s sound was born in his Australian hometown of Sydney but informed via a share house full of an eclectic producers in Guadalajara, Mexico. That eclectic vibe flows strong in Ferg’s debut “Therapy” which melts touches of raw French House psychedelic vocal flourishes. It kinda shouldn’t work, but It down. And it all comes down to the love of the music, which Flexy Ferg has oodles of.

CLÆP THAT brings together sounds from  familiar CLÆP friends as well as some new faces in a record that is reminiscent of the classic detroit house sound, mixed with something newer, yet simultaneously more lo-fi and analog .

You can expect to hear textural, analog jams from artists such as Jesus Moses, Yot Nam, and composer/producer Matti Julius, who infuses his classical training into this previously unreleased main room groover, Moules Gratinees. Maltitz and Nicola Brusegan bring the synth-heavy, emotional vibes whilst Sischke’s tribal influenced track Najuma and a hypnotic slice of minimalism from Ion Vulcan represent the more percussive side of house.  Not to mention a delicious acid laden roller from Derek and DJLo.

This is EP is pure house party and sunset vibes, guaranteed to get you ready for a long night of dancing.

TEMPLE is a solo project from Adelaide based artist Ben Smith. Ben has spent the last decade running a record label, playing in bands, touring Australia and playing at festivals including Rainbow Serpent, WOMADelaide, Wide Open Space and Strawberry Fields Festival to name a few. Throughout this time Ben has been working on solo material, while writing and producing records for other people. It’s now finally time to share his musings with the world.

“This release has been 10 years in the making. There’s not a single track on it that has been made in the last 5 years. However, with my crippling anxiety of not finishing songs and sharing them with the world, it is only now in overcoming that anxiety that these tracks are finally seeing the light of day. I’ve struggled for years with judgment, creating the “perfect” (perfection is an illusion) song and being concerned with what other people will think about my art. 2020 was a year that I drew a line in the sand and said enough is enough - I need to share myself with the world, the good and the bad, and this hard drive full of music. For art not shared is simply self-flagellation”
