The second release out of the gate on Jarc Sounds is by the label heads. They are interplanetary funksters from the mothership, inspired by a plethora of dance music, DJ’s, edits & cut ups.
Duo Jarc are both are extremely experienced DJ’s & producers keeping their names out of the frame. Their ethos is inspired by the funk of James Brown and Parliament, the groove of The Gap Band, and the Disco of Odyssey & Chic.
Jarc throwback to the early sounds of Paradise Garage. It’s clear these two simply love the groove, the funk & the spirit of the dance.
There’s funk and Disco vibes aplenty inside these three refreshing reworks. The opener is the lazy slowed down, funk grooved “Brooklyn Baby”, followed by the thumping disco driven “Love Ecstasy”, topped off with a naughty little reframe of “Falling In love”. Now where's that dancefloor?
