Oriental by birth and Western by training, Tong 桐(he/they) is a Naarm/Melbourne-based DJ, vinyl enthusiast, and curator of sonic pleasure. Carrying the torch of Chicago house, New York glamour, and Detroit groove, his sets are invitations to sweat, flirt, and feel. With roots in Beijing’s underground and a deep reverence for the dancefloor as a sacred queer space, Tong blends deep house, disco, techno, soul, and acid into seamless, body-moving narratives.
Influenced by legends like Honey Dijon, Derrick Carter, and Danny Tenaglia, Tong’s sound honours Black and queer musical legacies while reimagining them through a diasporic lens. Beyond the booth, he is the mind behind Hell Yeah Chicago, a house series paying homage to the genre’s birthplace, and co-organiser of FADS, a party for diverse queers.
Whether stirring up queer raves or opening hearts in intimate rooms, Tong 桐 plays with purpose: to uplift, to connect, and to remind us that dance is both resistance and joy.

Tong 桐是一位来自中国、现居 Naarm/墨尔本 的酷儿 DJ。他的音乐深受 Chicago house、纽约 disco 和 Detroit techno 的影响，节奏灵动、情感丰富，常常在舞池里制造出既热烈又亲密的时刻。
起步于北京的地下俱乐部文化，Tong 喜欢用音乐去连接人、情绪和记忆。他擅长在现场采样、混合不同风格，带来细腻而有能量的聆听体验。受 Honey Dijon 和 Derrick Carter 的启发，他的声音致敬黑人和酷儿音乐文化，同时也透过自身的离散身份去重新想像和诠释这些传统。
