Massive Dub s'attache à décloisonner le dub par l'apport et le mélange de ses influences
groove et musiques improvisées. En recherche constante de nouvelles sonorités, le mixage
dub offre un panel presque infini de possibilités d'aventures sonores. C'est ce principe que le
groupe cherche à apposer sur ses compositions mêlant musiques métissées issues de
nombreux brassages comme le jazz, les musiques électroniques, le reggae, ou la soul. Après
deux albums et deux Ep sur le label ODG Prod (France), ainsi que 5 vinyles
sortis sur les labels Lion’s Den (Allemagne), Berry’s Records et Welders Records (France), et
Dreadwise Music (Angleterre), Massive Dub s'apprête à sortir son 3ème album « Iridescence »
sur ODG Prod.
Ils ont su apporter une touche de fraîcheur à la mouvance générale du Dub aujourd’hui en
France, grâce notamment à leurs séries de prestations live et leur style unique. Massive Dub
a partagé les plateaux avec de nombreux artistes reconnus comme Stand High Patrol, Panda
Dub, Zion Train, Gentleman’s Dub Club ou encore IAM et Flavia Coelho et proposent
actuellement 2 lives : un live « MDC », Dub-stepper à 3 (machine / basse / guitare) taillé pour
les sound-systems, ainsi qu’un live instrumental à 5 ou 6 musiciens sous le nom « Massive
Dub Corporation ».
