Butch: A DJ’s DJ, A Producer’s Producer, A Electronic Music Chameleon

Some DJs chase trends. Butch sets them. With two decades in electronic music, he moves effortlessly between house, techno, and everything in between. From closing Circoloco at DC-10 to extended sets at Robert Johnson, his sound is always evolving.

Born in Mainz with Turkish roots, Butch hustled his way into the scene, earning multiple Best Producer awards and working with legends like Ricardo Villalobos, Armand van Helden, Cassius, Maceo Plex, and Keinemusik. His releases on Innervisions, Running Back, Defected, Rekids, Diynamic, and Cuttin’ Headz have shaped the underground.

2025 is set to be massive, with his remix of Duck Sauce’s “Falling In Love” already dominating dancefloors and more releases on the way. Butch doesn’t follow rules—he just makes music that moves people.

Melodies and rhythms, incorporating folkloric sounds and ancient rhythms, Lannka bringing them into an electronic realm of deep house. His Ritual is the passage way of the soul into the infinite, combined with music is the absolute spiritual journey. Impulsive drums, damp ground, charangos and colourful masks, a combination between the digital and analog that will take you on a colourful musical experience with a pure blend of traditional folk music, percussion and electronic beats.

Just a young man from South Jamaica Queens. I grew up in a rough neighborhood. Both of my parents were on drugs. I had one sister and I knew I was the MAN in the family because my father wasn’t around for that long. My Mother got sick she was laid up in the hospital for years. I remained strong and solid and so did my sister. My sister and I had nothing. So my only option was to win. So one of my old child hood friends knew what I was going through. He used to always tell me damn your tough as nails, I found that to be very interesting. The last three letters of my name is NELL. So I named myself NELLZ. Pronounced the same way but spelled differently. So here I am today still grinding, business owner, and I’m in the booth tearing shit up. I put my mom in her own condo & my sister is married and happy. I just look up to the man up above and say THANK YOU for all you’ve done. But I’m still not finish. I got a lot more work to do. UBT always. This is just the beginning of my story.
