When it comes to the sound of modern-day techno—fast, melodic and polyglot, working in genres like trance and gabber—it's hard to find an artist more clearly representative than Anetha. The French DJ encompasses all these influences with style, landing on a lithe sound that's both heavy and nimble, earning her a first residency at Paris party Blocaus (and, currently, Awakenings and Fuse, among others) and appearances on labels like Work Them and Oaks.

What really sets Anetha apart, though, is her commitment to developing and uplifting the artists around her. She launched her own label, Mama Told Ya, in 2019 with a unique and heartwarming concept: each release would highlight an artist, often young or new to the game, and feature one collaboration with Anetha herself. It's a move that turns the usual label-artist dynamic on its head, making each new record a fully-fledged collaboration, and lending her own gravitas to the artist she features. And a year later she started an agency—or what she calls a "creative engine"—to help those artists in a more holistic way.

Her RA Podcast is a perfect way to start 2023: with energy and verve, and a perfect balance of light and dark. This is techno at its most creative, dark and discombobulated beats cut through with glowing vocal samples from some of the most recognizable songs of the past five years. If you wanted to explain to someone what techno sounds like in 2023, you'd do well to start here.

Two-Step Verification exists as another entry into the world of Swami Sound’s making. It’s a looksee of Swami Sound’s foray into the UK Garage/Two Step Genre with a scope turned on Internet discovery. The show engages the dance music community in whatever online niche Swami finds them in. With guest mixes, sound bites, and interviews by collaborators, curators, inspirations and the sort, Swami injects dublab’s feed with the very syncopated rhythms that have uploaded his musical career into a new realm while joyfully engaging with the people over the tempos of the Web.

CFCF (aka Mike Silver) is a Grammy-nominated electronic musician, producer and DJ from Montreal, Canada. His most recent album ‘Memoryland’, released in 2021, explored the restlessness of the Y2K generation, fusing disparate genres from jungle, grunge, UK garage and french house to form a hyperkinetic period piece of turn-of-the-millennium youth in an identity crisis, and earning him a spot on the 2021 Polaris Prize shortlist.

Two-Step Verification exists as another entry into the world of Swami Sound’s making. The show’s title was inspired by a tweet; which in turn began a mix series on Soundcloud; and further evolved into a curated playlist and rave series of the same name: all helped along by the artist’s addiction to the Internet. Swami enters 2023 with the ideal setting for his online brainbaby as a monthly radio slot on dublab. It’s a looksee of Swami Sound’s foray into the UK Garage/Two Step Genre with a scope turned on Internet discovery. The show engages the dance music community in whatever online niche Swami finds them in. His audience has widened as a result of consistently posting his mixes and music — whether it’s through the unique sound or sultry IDs that his crowds request persistently at his shows. With guest mixes, sound bites, and interviews by collaborators, curators, inspirations and the sort, Swami injects dublab’s feed with the very syncopated rhythms that have uploaded his musical career into a new realm while joyfully engaging with the people over the tempos of the Web.

There is more to 74.97 than the mystic of his name lets on. A Broward County Native, he has been immersed in all South Florida has to offer sonically. 74.97 established himself early on controlling crowds with tantalizing sets, serving up B sides from his favorite albums. He has since evolved into a powerhouse producing pulsating tracks that reflect his love for UK Garage. He is also the face behind Blind Records, which is indicative of not only his skill set but his passion and vision. 74.97 is not a producer. 74.97 is not a DJ. He is a true artist that flirts between the two worlds seamlessly to bring forth what can only be considered as nothing short of pure art.
