Progressive Maestro Dezza kicks off his 2020 with the stunning 'Close Your Eyes'.

Canadian DJ / Producer Dezza had a fantastic 2019 releasing his debut artist album 'Cosmos' at the start of the year and then going on to launch Colorize's 'Colorscapes' compilation series with label mate Matt Fax, touring in support of it in London, Amsterdam and San Francisco. 

Continuing a prolific run he unveils new single 'Close Your Eyes', a driving Prog House belter featuring a dominant percussion section, energetic synth bass and celestial vocals.

'Jewel Of The Seas' the buildup of its lead-synths melody is its catharsis -an ecstasy-inducing moment attempting to explore the beefier bassline and a greater sense of drama.'

The first extended mix to emerge from Spencer Brown’s sophomore mix album ‘Stream of Consciousness’, progressive burner (and album closer) ‘Womaa’ now sees a full release on Anjunabeats, produced with Wilt Claybourne.

Spencer goes in further in depth about the story behind the track: “One of my best friends from university, Will, and I made this track in beautiful Carmel, California in early 2019. During this session, I felt my father’s calm presence in the room as well as the exhilaration of falling in love with somebody. The combination of love for family, friends, and my significant other heavily inspired the track.”

Spencer Brown’s new mix album ‘Stream of Consciousness’ is available to buy or stream now, with CD copies and an exclusive poster bundle available on the Anjuna Music Store. Spencer’s ‘Stream of Consciousness’ tour takes him all across North America over the next few months, with a London headline date at Colours, Hoxton on April 4th and a set at our Anjunabeats elevations festival in Avoriaz, France also on the cards. Long term friends and collaborators, Thomas and Rowee took a long time to bring this truly beautiful project to fruition. ‘Rise’ is no ordinary dance track, with an exceptional amount of craft and love put into it it, it has quite the story to tell. Thomas and Rowee have collaborated before and having played many parties together in Italy and across the world. This time Thomas sent Rowee a track in the style of his ‘Last Communication’ Remixes, mostly performed from a live jam with flicks of Fender Rhodes, Flamenco Guitar, Ukelelee and Worldly Percussion. As Thomas says ‘we kept deconstructing the session and going back and forth countless times then when Rowee added a stunning string arrangement, it bought in so much life and Rowee had the genius idea of approaching singer 'Cari Golden' one of the most recognisable and hardest working voices in dance music who we both hugely admire to write a song on the track’ It was a perfect fit for her. Within a few days, and a few more sessions between them, the Result is ‘Rise’ a spine -tingling Torch Anthem, melancholic but uplifting at the same time, reminiscent of classic nostalgia such as ‘Everything but the Girl’ but ‘Rise’ is ready for the clubs and most certainly the Balearic beaches. With a beatless ambient version included we know this is shaping up to be a classic piece of Electronica.

For more than the last decade, @ron-flatter has been enriching the house and techno landscape with his own direct and energetic productions and warm, groove-driven DJ sets. Now we are happy to welcome him to our Ritter Butzke Studio family with his tracks “Woodrow” and “Off Ramp”.

“Woodrow” pumps hard and pushes with a distorted and noisy hook. Squeaky but to be taken seriously the track finds his climax with a vocal supported main break and flute rising pads.

“Off Ramp” feels like a half pipe skate jump. A juddering 16th theme in bass, hihats and rythmics gives it a certain thrill. Contrasting light and moving pads contrapoint it with a joyfull feeling jumpin “off ramp”.

Watergate’s emphasis on the finest emerging talent continues, with the label debut of GLOWAL.

The Italian duo arrive on the imprint with a fine pedigree, having landed stirring releases on Innervisions, Afterlife, Sapiens and Diynamic all in the last 18 months. They similarly impressed during their maiden WG club gig last October on the Waterfloor.

The four-tracker ‚Night Queen’ masterfully manages to eschew a familiar club sound for something all-together uplifting, nostalgic and captivating, courtesy of their powerful arrangements and strong leads. The title track is driven by ‘80s synths and pop sensibilities, while owning enough low-end groove to propel a dancefloor (or home rave set-up). ‘Moment’ provides just that; a shining jewel of a track, dying to be played at that delicious end-of-night moment, as Simon Batten’s soaring vocal bring the collective masses to their proverbial knees. ‘Enigma’ is characterised by a robotic vocal that slides over sparse drums and a languid synth hook. ‘Antenna’ is a multi-faceted trip that combines synthwave melodies, pulsating electro chords and a slick rolling groove that keeps the track interesting from start to finish.
