Synthetic Exercises is a sound work based on the by-products of a vocal algorithm learning to do its task. The piece is an arrangement of artificial sonic events and the inner workings of an algorithm exercising an abstract speech without words.

The highlighted Gregorian singing melos in the work, as well as psalmodic declamation elements, are woven into the beginning sections and then gradually dissipate in the harmonic current. In this way, the compositional resolution relates to the concept and content of the idea, in other words, the requiem Lux aeterna and Libera me texts are used to project an individual consciousness, which slowly melts into another – the dimension of the afterlife. In this different space the existing content and text are reflected to us from the other side (the Latin text fragments are heard in inverse).

Lorem Ipsum Ex Machina – sugrįžimas prie elektroninės muzikos ištakų ir pamėginimas aktualizuoti elementariausias priemones (tokias kaip filtrai, triukšmas, rezonansai ir kt.) siekiant jos grynumo. 

Balsas – kūrinio ašis. Jo semantikos norėta išvengti pasirenkant tekstą „Lorem Ipsum“. Tai – teksto simuliakras, parašytas tariama lotynų kalba, ir naudojamas tipografijos, dizaino ar šrifto demonstracijai spaudos ir grafinio dizaino industrijoje.

Kūrinio pavadinime užkoduotas pagrindinis procesas – iš triukšmo bei rezonansų laipsniškai išnyrantis balsas (la voix humaine), teatrališkai rečituojantis tekstą „Lorem Ipsum“.
