I am very pleased to be able to release a remastered version of the 12th track from my 'Mythology' Sound set, 'Poseidon'

I am very grateful to John Styles for helping me to rework this track into this new and exciting version. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did working on it.

Background.
God of the sea, protector of all waters. Poseidon is the brother of Zeus. After the overthow of their Father Cronus he drew lots with Zeus and Hades, another brother, for shares of the world. His prize was to become lord of the sea. He was widely worshiped by seamen. He married Amphitrite, a granddaughter of the Titan Oceanus. 

His weapon is a trident, which can shake the earth, and shatter any object. He is second only to Zeus in power amongst the gods.

Matt Baker & John Styles - Poseidon

Hi there, Welcome to our latest track 'There's a Tree on a Hill' which I have been fortunate to finish as an instrumental piece with John Styles.

This instrumental version is a pre-release to a full song version which we plan to release at a later date.

This track was inspired by an amazing spectacle I witnessed one night whilst camping just outside Bala in North Wales. As I sat watching the sunset, lines of clouds covered the sky, illuminated almost purple by the beautiful light cast by the setting sun. Through a single break in the clouds a beam of sunlight shone down on a small tree that sat along on top of a hill in the distance. It took me some time to actually accept that this was real as the small twisted tree seemed to glow. This lasted for a considerable time as the sun slowly sank beneath the distant horizon. I can't remember how long this lasted for, but remember thinking afterward that this type of amazing visual spectacle would have really inspired all sorts of tales and fantasies in ancient times, a magical tree, or perhaps a gateway to another world. 

The image I've picked for this track doesn't really match the beauty I witnessed that night, but I felt it was a nice picture that captured some of the qualities of the small tree, which I think was a Hawthorn Tree.

For me it had a very significant meaning which I am not able to write about at this, as it has a deep personal meaning which is too sensitive, but can say this moment inspired this track and lyrics which will follow on the full song version.

I would like to thank John Styles for his help and guidance with this track as I would not have been able to have completed it without his kind help, skill and support as a friend.

‘The Voyage Home’

Hi there and welcome to my latest track ‘The Voyage home’. This track has been inspired by reflections we make in our daily lives, about those we love and may wish we could be with. The voyage, or journey home may be and physical journey, to overcome the elements or great distances, survival. But can also be the mental journey we make into our own thoughts and precious memories at times when we need to find strength or allow ourselves to feel.

This track was first devised whilst I was visiting John in Holland, when we really got a chance to work on some ideas together and understand each others style of composition. As I travelled home to be with my family I really felt these feelings, even more so as I knew for sure that John & I are going to make some great tracks together and hope to work on some really exciting projects.

Matt Baker & John Styles - The Voyage Home

Hi there and welcome to our latest track 'The Quest'. Whilst working with John in Holland we discussed our various ideas for series of 'Theme' based tracks, which we hope may be used in films and documentaries.
We felt like we were embarking on a 'Quest' together, to make great music, so this track seemed appropriate for one of our first.

Although we only had a few days working together in the studio, we managed to exchange a lot of ideas and melodies that we felt would be fun to work on.

This track follows our heroic band as they journey far across unknown lands, against all odds to reach their goal and finally fulfil their Quest. 

We payed particular attention to using layers to build simple melodies into the final composition.

We hope you enjoy our track as much as we did creating it and also hope you join us on our ongoing 'Quest' to make more tracks in this series.

Hi there and welcome to the latest track in our 'Themes' soundset, 'The Vanquished' by Matt Baker & John Styles

As with many of our tracks, this one was inspired by an image that we found on the internet. I had long wanted to compose a piece featuring a simple accordion track reminiscent of the type of melody sailors may have played whilst at leisure on a long voyage. I hoped to use this melody to create a sense of calm, then building this key melody in strength and complexity into a true adventure soundtrack.

When I found this painting of a ship heading into troubled waters everything fell into place, as the painting had everything, from the surging power of the sea, the threatening rocks, an ominous dark sky, but also a splash of light casting hope across the bow of the stricken vessel. These images helped to develop the composition and gave great inspiration to the various parts featured in the track.

As with many of our tracks we like to leave the conclusion of our tale to the listener and hope our music creates an image of the fate thats awaiting our courageous crew.

The image is taken from, 'Ships in Distress off a Rocky Coast' (1667), by the German-born Dutch painter Ludolf Backhuysen (1631 – 1708). He was a marine painter who became Holland’s leading seascape artist in the last quarter of the seventeenth century. His sea-pieces are well-known and represented in museums around the world.

Armin Van Buuren Feat. Mr. Probz - Another You Radio Edit Remix

Welcome to our new song (cover) and instrumental version of the Dutch song “15 Miljoen mensen”, Matt and I wanted to do something different (besides our busy schedule finishing our current Feng Shui project), so we picked up this song that we wanted to do anyway to experiment even more with new instruments, and testing the equipment in my new studio, we hope you’ll enjoy this new release, translation in English would be “15 Million People”, but in respect to the composers of the song, we kept the original title. 

Many months ago Janny (Caustic Cheese) asked me to collaborate with him and change his version of 15 Million people into a orchestral version, I agreed and when it was finished he released it on his SC account, his version was slightly slower then this one, and because of it, I could not let all my instruments sound the way I wanted, so I told Janny that I would give it another go later on, and make a new version all over again with Matt Baker but then faster.

By doing this piece slightly faster (all over again), we also noticed that the instruments started to sound better, and gave us more space and freedom to play around and add even more instruments and choirs.

Because of the new way of producing our songs lately, we were able to give it more body, also with this piece we layered all instruments (instead of using volume), eventually it became a very big project, we hope you’ll be able to hear all separate instruments, and you’ll enjoy our instrumental version too.

The original song was composed for a commercial for Postbank BV (now ING), and the clip (song) became so popular, that it was released as single and became a number 1 hit in Holland.

Welcome to our new song “Candlelight”. We created it while , after two years, we were again sitting together in the same studio.
With the holidays coming up, we were asked to create a new leader / theme-song for a Radio-show, so sit or lay down and relax, we hope you'll enjoy this journey. 

Technical inside:
Normally we send tracks back and forth discussing what else can be done or changed about our compositions. This time John (from Holland) visited Matt in Liverpool, en now we were able to create new songs “Live”. Actually sitting in the same studio works a lot better and faster to our opinion, so now we could really experiment creating more songs from one lead.

This song was created as a new theme for a radio-show called “Candlelight”. When we had the main-theme, we started to try out “contra melodies” (John’s expression), and we ended up making other melodies / songs.
We wanted you all to experience / hear how that works, W when we played / jammed “live”, we ended up having a nice catching lead. Then we worked everything out (expanding the project with more instruments). Immediately we could hear more harmonies, and this time we completely finished all those harmonies one by one.
Now we had five different songs, which could also be merged back into one complete massive project, to be used during the complete show, and still has a different (not the same) sound all along.

As said before, normally we send tracks back and forth to each other, and we exchange our ideas via telephone or Skype till we finally end up having a complete new song / project (also when covering others).
Even when we do a collaboration with other artists, the same happens to us many times, we start working on those songs / projects, and we end up having / making completely new songs as well. To John’s opinion, that is because we can instantly hear the contra melodies while we are creating as well.
This is due a new way of producing (layering) our songs: we start making a song having (for example) 12 main tracks, then we start creating the harmony tracks, and those harmonies fit perfectly, then we extend the song moving along with all those separate tracks, and again new harmonies will be created etc. etc. When we take out those new harmonies, we hear / see new songs coming to light (getting born).
This song basically resulted into five new songs, and we tried to glue three of the originals together.
1st part 0:00-3:12, this song starts with the maintheme, 
2nd part 3:12-4:09, 1st harmony (bridge) 
3rd part 4:09-5:10, 4th harmony (outro)
4th part 5:10-end, back to the maintheme including some of the 2nd and 3rd harmonies merged in.
We will also release Candlelight 2 later on, the real endmix will only be made for the radiostations. 

We hope we have given you an inside look how we work together. We discovered that when we really sit next to each other, we can create so many songs, almost without any limitation, and very fast too.
Our hope is to create a (paid) FULL soundtrack for a movie or a documentary, so we can completely focus on doing things we REALLY love to do together as a team. Reading all the responses from our listeners let us feel we are obviously on the right track. So we would like to thank you all for your support and feedback towards us and our music, and we hope you’ll enjoy this piece of music too.

Matt Baker & John Styles - Candlelight

With this song ”Auguri” we send you all “the best wishes” and we hope you’ll join us in this project.
When John returned from a “jam session weekend” with members of Revival and many others, he was very motivated and started writing new songs, which he already released some of them.
Right after that weekend he heard Luciano Gavini’s song Auguri played on Radio Universal during the ultimate instrumental show, and immediately he wanted to re-produce it into a version done by “Euphoriqa & The Orchestra”, to be able to play Luciano’s song for a live audience (with real orchestral instruments accompanied with a band next year).
Luciano gave John full permission to go ahead, and John re-arranged the instruments and created new harmonies, and when he was done, first send it to Luciano for his approval, for Luciano this was now “Their” song.
Then John & Matt created the proper “real” instruments for the new arrangements, but noticed that some of them needed to be played by a keyboard to keep the song sounding the way it was intended.
Unfortunately members of “The Orchestra” couldn’t join us in time for this project, but they will next year.

Now due to the current situation in the world, we wanted to release this song anyway, and we hope we can do a mass collab with other talents on SC and FB, so if you are a specialist in playing a specific instrument, and you would like to join us in this project, please contact us, maybe we will still be able to finish this song to send all the good wishes and love to the rest of the world on the coming holidays.
If you have a great melody that could fit on a piano, violin, cello, guitar, flute, sax or voice etc. you’re most welcome to join us.

For me personally Auguri means more then “the best wishes”, it means love, respect and care too, something our world is in need for at this moment, obviously destructing forces think they rule the world, and all in God’s name, well you’re wrong, GOD is LOVE, not fear, hate and war.
Love, respect, care and compassion will conquer all, without it the world is doomed and depreciated.
Hopefully the massive glow and feel from us all in the world of this “LOVE” will conquer and send the right message to everybody, that’s why I used this cover (from Sammie van Leeuwen) with the heart coming out of the water, as a symbol that everybody understands, no matter what language they speak.

Technical inside:
After re-arranging Luciano’s tracks and creating the harmonies, John and Matt multilayered all their instruments so the song would maintain it’s specific sound and feel like the original song.
We also wanted to give this version a sort of ProgRock / SymphonicRock feel to it, to make it possible that our band Euphoriqa could play it together with The Orchestra.
The most difficult thing was replace the synth sounds of Luciano’s original, so we decided that the sounds which couldn’t be played by real instruments, would be played by a keyboard anyway.
While working on this song in the studio, many people came to listen silently, and it made them want to dance, which was the best compliment for any musician, and people loved it immediately 
This was a real challenge for us both, but hopefully you’ll  enjoy it just as much as Luciano did when he heard this mix, and after some adjustments Luciano suggested, we now want you all to enjoy it too, and we really hope that many other talents will join us on this song before the coming holidays on a mass SC collab.

Hi there and welcome to our latest track, 'Christmas Wish'

The Christmas period is always a great excuse to relax and have some fun, and what better way to spend a few hours enjoying yourself than composing a Christmas Waltz!

As I worked on this track, I tried to forget about all the bad things happening around the world and focused on the  importance of sharing peace, love and joy across the world. With this came the idea of a special 'Christmas Wish', which for me was obvious; and I am sure I'm not alone, in wishing everyone in this beautiful world could find a way to live in Peace and harmony.

Like the woodland animals in this picture, if everyone could put aside their differences for just one day and go out into the world and try to make just one other person feel happy, then perhaps unity could prevail.

Until that day comes, I hope our creation will at least provide you with a little peace and comfort from a busy day and aid your spirit to prepare for Christmas.

John and I worked on this in the normal way, my raw composition was sent over to John and he then worked through it building and enhancing it to the beautiful end production.

Although its a little early, we wish you Seasons Greetings and Peace to one and all.

Matt Baker & John Styles - Christmas Wish

We hope you will enjoy our new song “Waiting”, may it give you all some comfort and relaxation and peace in your heart and mind.
After working together on "Brave Angel", Alan Johnson gave this composition to John, and gave him full freedom to convert it into a  orchestral song, John started to rebuild the song and make it longer with a different bridge, then John and Matt started to create all harmonies and rearrange it so they could fit with all other instruments into an orchestral movement.

The title “Waiting” can be explained in so many different ways, as it also has more meanings to us then you might expect, we all do a lot of “Waiting” in our lives.

By the meaning “Waiting for You” , with the upcoming holidays for sure many people have to wait for their loved ones to come home on time for Christmas eve, so the holidays can be celebrated together, especially when people have to come from far, and have to catch a bus, train and airplane in time to go home.
As many movies were made with this subject as theme, we can all name lot’s of titles of movies which of course will be broadcasted as well during the holidays, and most of the time there’s a happy ending and everybody is happy, but not in all cases, as many of you may have experienced as well.

And “Waiting” while you’re in the hospital like many of our friends, they need to wait for tests or surgery, or they are recovering from an illness, and they are “Waiting” to be cured till they finally can go HOME
.
Everybody has their own experience of “Waiting”, some are positive, some are negative as well.
We tried to express our own experiences, feelings and thoughts that we couldn’t say in words, so we say it with music, as we both and our loved ones also had and still have their “Waiting” moments.

“All instruments are carefully layered accompanying the piano melody, each part gives a different emotion” this remark was given while I was finishing this song in the studio, to us this is what we hope this song would do to and for you all as well. 

This way we also want to wish all the best to Hemmo Riihelä, Megan McCarthy and Ralf, Melanie and Florian Reichelt and all other friends and listeners we haven’t mentioned, all the best and speedy recovery, may God be with you all, and may the spirit and joy of Christmas be present in your heart, because we believe in spirit we’re all together one way or the other.

To everybody in the world, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the best wishes for 2016.

Bring Back The Summer (Ft. Oly)

Welcome to our latest track in our 'Themes' soundset, 'Cry Havoc'

The inspiration for this track came from the saying "Cry 'Havoc!', and let slip the dogs of war" from Act 3, Scene 1, line 273 of William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, although I prefer to think of it from the medieval battle setting in Henry V.

In a literal terms, "dogs" are the familiar animals, trained for warfare; "havoc" is a military order permitting the seizure of spoil after a victory and "let slip" is to release from the leash. 

Apart from the literal meaning, a parallel can be drawn with the prologue to Henry V, where the warlike king is described as having at his heels, awaiting employment, the hounds "famine, sword and fire".

Along those lines, an alternative proposed meaning is that "the dogs of war" refers figuratively to the wild pack of soldiers "let slip" by war's breakdown of civilized behavior and/or their commanders' orders to wreak "havoc", i.e. pillage and plunder.
  
I used the drums, percussion and various vocal elements to try and capture a sense of tension and the underlying threat that the 'Unleashing of Havoc', must have created. This is punctuated in the composition with softer reprieves from the chaos of war, which I felt represented 'innocence' either in terms of the younger soldiers who were yet to be 'bloodied'; and as a representation of the 'innocence' they are about to destroy by warfare, pillage and plunder.

Its strange really as I've always wanted to do a track with this title/theme, but in composing it I felt it is somehow less 'heroic' and a lot 'darker' than some of my previous compositions of a similar theme. I guess its power comes from the representation of the barbarism that ensued during medieval warfare.

Matt Baker & John Styles - Cry Havoc

Hi There and welcome to my latest track, 'Broken Dreams'

As you may guess I'm sticking with the 'Aliens' Sci-fi theme with this one. 

In the second film, 'Aliens' 1986

Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is picked up as salvage after drifting through space in stasis for 57 years. After she's been treated she is debriefed by her employers at the Weyland-Yutani Corporation over the destruction of her ship, the Nostromo. She describes everything that happened, but they are skeptical of her claims that an Alien killed the ship's crew and forced her to destroy the ship.

She also discovers that whilst she was away, frozen in an  abnormally long hypersleep, her daughter had, grown up and sadly passed away. The pain of this is unbearable for Ripley as she had promised to only be away a short time. 

This part of the story always struck a chord with me, so I  decided it would be a challenge to try and create a piece that gave a sense of a restless, disturbed sleep, a homage to Ripley's broken dreams.

I've used a combination of electronic and orchestral sounds to get a nice atmospheric feel, an kind of ambient chill out track, but with a twist!

Matt Baker - Broken Dreams

Welcome to our new release ‘The Flight of an Eagle” the promised extended Orchestral version of the earlier released duet version called “The Eagle Fly” by Oliver Papke & John Styles.
We have changed the title as remarks were given that the translation German to English was not done right.

With this release Matt Baker joined us and he created the orchestral movement for this song, then John created an extra bridge, and multi layered all the instruments to keep all dynamics, and at the same time create a crescendo, so all instruments could be heard as an orchestra without a specific solo instrument even the piano becomes part of the total orchestra (intentionally).
In this mix we took out John’s piano, and replaced them with Matt’s piano, then we added more instruments 1 by 1, until they all sounded as one as we hoped they would.

This song arose when Oliver went for a walk with his wife, it was so quiet and peaceful, as they observed some birds, they felt free from the daily stress, back home he started playing on the piano to express this feeling.
Each of you might have had a similar experience, when you have your had full of stress and worry, you just want to forget about everything for a few minutes and feel free and relaxed.
With this piece we want to give you these few moments to relax and experience this relief and freedom.

Welcome to our new version of “A Story to be Told”, we asked Colin Powell aka  HYPERLINK "https://soundcloud.com/a-multitude-of-one" https://soundcloud.com/a-multitude-of-one to join us and make some guitar tracks for this song, which he did brilliantly as always.  John already had a idea for a new song, but he wasn’t satisfied with the verses only the chorus line and bridge were finished, and when he arrived in Bremen (to join Oliver), Oliver said that he also had a new idea “chorus line” for a new song, and when he played it, John said this would be an awesome verse instead of a chorus for his new song, so little changes were made to make their 2 ideas fit into this song, so our collaboration made us create a new song all along.

The motivation / reason behind this song was for both of us so similar, that it had to become 1 song.
We started with finishing the piano track first, then we tried to create some string tracks and harmonies for them, and by doing so they end up with a sort duet between Piano and Orchestra (the listeners said so too).
We will also try to make another duet between Piano and Guitar later on (work in progress).
Working together side by side we learned a lot from each other, and we understand each others music a lot better now as well, and we noticed by playing our ideas, we could sing along with our music although we never heard it before, that was a real surprise for us both too, which made it a lot easier to work together.
After we created / played all these tracks, John took them to Holland, and started creating all possible  harmonies, and the more this song developed the more it ended up into this “Duet” as we feel it is now.

We were both motivated to make this song, because of the stories shared with us by others, and also by our own experiences in life.
Many times people get disappointed by others or certain happenings makes you feel numb, it can be that you lost a loved one, or a relationship ended, or you’re not treated right for whatever the reason may be.
You want to react but you don’t know how, and as result nothing comes out right at all, misunderstandings become bigger, it’s almost like you feel trapped in your life, and it makes you feel worthless.
It can get so bad that you feel there is no way back, or it can’t be solved anymore, you keep everything inside and it starts to hurt you even more, and questions start to develop within yourself…….WHY????
It can get so bad that it starts to influence your daily life and it starts to feel you can’t get anything right and because of all these sorrow and worries you may think life is not worth living for anymore.

With this song we tried to create this conversation (story) till the bridge, at this intermezzo we try to create a peaceful harmony within yourself, and the last bit the re-assurance that no matter what the answer is always within yourself, there’s always a solution for everything or a shoulder to cry on is closer then you think.
Keeping everything inside is never a solution for anybody, only when your heart and soul is free and you are fully in harmony with yourself, nothing can stop you from being happy with your life.
We realise it’s a lot easier said then done, but any worry, grief, pain or sorrow is “A Story to be Told”

Helene Fischer is a German pop singer, dancer and entertainer. With more than nine million albums sold, it is one of the most successful pop singers in Germany. Albums Farbenspiel and Best of Helene Fischer are among the best-selling music albums in Germany. Fischer has received numerous awards as a singer, including sixteen echoes and six Golden hens, and is also active in television. They presented since 2011 for Christmas The Helene Fischer show, which was awarded in 2015 with the Bavarian Television Award.
Oliver loved this song so much that he recorded it on piano, after sending several attempts back and forth too John, they decided to continue with this version, then Oliver continued making  several tracks with Strings, Choir, Flute and Violin, then John continued to work on them and created the harmonies with, and exchanged the instruments from other libraries.

Oliver Papke & John Styles - Engel Gehn Durchs Feuer

Welcome to another collab between John Styles and Colin Powell (aka https://soundcloud.com/a-multitude-of-one).

For me this song went through the weirdest development ever, I composed this song 30-5-15 for a school project, as Matt Baker and I were very busy with our Feng Shui project, I’ve send the 1st premix to Colin and asked him if he could add some guitars to it.
Colin send me a completely unexpected mix back for me to consider, without guitars (as to his opinion the guitars were already spot on) but he added beautiful flute and French horn to it instead.

At first this piece was motivated on the situation in the world with all the attacks and war everywhere.
Then I wanted to make this piece longer playing along with all the tracks, as I felt with the additional tracks from Colin I could also change the message into something beautiful, for example if you come at spots in the world where nature shows it’s splendour, the calmness and relaxing feeling you can get enjoying it.
But for some reason nothing worked, so I put this song aside as I wanted to try it later again.
But this song never left me alone, and I kept trying but for some reason whatever I did with those tracks nothing seem to work or sound alright to me.
Then I suffered from a mid-ear infection for 6 weeks, and couldn’t hear properly what I was doing (which frustrated me even more), I wasn’t able to perform proper productions anymore.
The more I tried the worse the song became, so after my ears started to get better, I took the original song, trying to find out what was going wrong all the time, as I never experienced this before.
I decided that I would listen to it over and over again, and trying to find the proper cover for the release, until it would hit me, I came across 2 pictures 1 as you can see now and 1 of me walking in the hills taken from behind.
Without going into detail, the latest developments and disappointments I had to go through in my life, finally gave this piece a meaning, and it also made me realize the song was ready all along.
I always tried to make music for others, to give comfort and bring positive emotions to them.
But to accomplish that, there’s always this moment that you’re “Numb” or “Speechless”, you’ve got no idea what hit you, first you have to go through that face, and to accept the facts that brought you there, then you can climb up, and find the right road to continue your life.
No matter what, accepting the truth (how hard it can be) is always better then a soaring wound, I tried my hardest to push those feelings away, like there was nothing going on, but it just made things worse.
It’s better to deal with those feelings and get them out in the open, so your inner wound can heal.
When I listen to this song myself, I can hear the Guitars, the Piano and the French Horn expressing all my sorrows and pain, and the Flute and Strings trying to comfort me and pulling me out of this painful thoughts.
It’s OK to be “Speechless” it’s a faze you have to go through, in the long run it will make you stronger.
The open ending I left in this piece (on purpose) is so that everybody can fill in their own story or meaning.
I am grateful to Colin for the 2 tracks he made, unintentionally those were exactly what this piece needed, at least I think so, and who knows I might pick up this song one more time and redo it all over again.

Hi, Welcome to the second track in my 'Legends' Sound set 'Galahad'.

This new improved version of the track is a collaboration between John Styles and I and we hope you enjoy the new arrangement and extra work we have put in to make this sound more Epic.

Sir Galahad
Galahad was the natural son of Elaine & Launcelot. As a child he was placed in a nunnery.
One day a sword in a stone was seen in a river by Arthur's knights, and it was said that only the world's best knight could pull out the sword. Galahad was led into Arthur's court where he sat in the Siege Perilous and then drew the sword out. It was later on when the Grail appeared in a vision at Arthur's court that Galahad was chosen as one of the three knights to undertake the Quest for the Holy Grail. 

He was given a white shield, made by Evelake, with a red cross which Joseph of Arimathea had drawn in blood. In the course of the Quest he joined up with Percivale, Bors, and Percivale's sister. On board Solomon's ship, Galahad obtained the Sword of David, and after the death of Percivale's sister the trio split up for a while and Galahad traveled with his father, Launcelot. 

When the three rejoined forces they came to Carbonek and achieved the Grail. Galahad mended the broken sword, and therefore, he was allowed to see the Grail. After beholding the Holy Grail, Galahad requested of Joseph of Arimathea that he die, which request was granted unto him. Galahad was always known as the "Perfect Knight". He was "perfect" in courage, gentleness, courtesy, and chivalry.

Music has always been an integral part of my life. From my earliest memories, it has shaped how I express my emotions and bring my creative ideas to life. Whether it was hours spent with a slightly out-of-tune upright piano or strumming on my sister's guitar, I was hooked. While I struggled with traditional music theory and never quite mastered reading or writing music, my passion for sound and composition only grew.

My journey truly began with a Casio VL-Tone, a keyboard that allowed me to record simple melodies. Throughout my teenage years, I poured countless hours and resources into building my first collection of music gear, recording everything from theme songs to pop and punk covers with friends. In my early twenties, I played in several bands and immersed myself in the live music scene, which was a great experience but often came with late nights and long hours.

During this time, I also began exploring electronic music more seriously, acquiring my first proper setup: a Kawai keyboard, Technics sequencer, Alesis HR16 drum machine, and a Yamaha MT100 4-track recorder. These tools opened up new possibilities and inspired me to experiment with electronic music production and midi-based compositions.

A lifelong fan of science fiction, fantasy, and cinematic soundtracks, I soon found myself gravitating toward composing thematic music. Movies, being my second greatest passion, heavily influenced the direction of my creative work.

In my 30s, life’s demands shifted my focus toward career and family, but my love for music never waned. Entering my 40s, I had the opportunity to refocus, acquiring new gear and fully committing to my musical development. With the help of modern technology, I now have a home studio where I can bring my musical ideas to life with greater precision and depth.

My current setup includes a Korg Triton LE, Cubase 12, Nektar LE88, Steinberg UR824 interface, and an array of VSTs such as Kontakt, Halion Sonic SE, Retrologue, and EastWest Symphonic Choirs, among others. This home studio, built over nearly a decade, allows me to push creative boundaries and explore new sounds and compositions.

Based in Liverpool, I’m currently writing is almost every style. Rock songs for my band Inner Fire. Pop tracks inspired by the 80's and 90's. Theme music inspired by film and literature with the aspiration of one day scoring a full-length production. 

Since joining SoundCloud, I've had the privilege of connecting with talented musicians and creative minds from around the world. One of the most fulfilling collaborations has been with John Styles, where we’ve explored a wide range of musical genres. 

I’m also proud to serve as the principal composer for Music for Brains, a project dedicated to healing through music and creativity. Working on this project has been deeply rewarding, as it has allowed me to connect with individuals on an emotional level, crafting compositions inspired by their stories.

I’m always open to feedback and collaboration, as it helps me refine my craft. While working in the music industry is a dream, I am also a grateful family man, and the support of my loved ones plays a crucial role in fuelling my passion. I am thankful to have such a strong network of family and friends who encourage me to keep pursuing my musical ambitions.
