Als DJ, Musikerin und Unternehmerin lege ich großen Wert auf eine faire Balance zwischen Geben und Nehmen. In den vergangenen Jahren habe ich u.a. viele lokale DJs, Produzenten, Eventreihen und Locations aktiv mit Posts, Videos, Likes und Berichten unterstützt – stets mit dem Ziel, echte Anerkennung zu zeigen und gegenseitige Wertschätzung zu fördern. Meine Kanäle sind kein Raum für einseitige Forderungen oder politische Botschaften ohne beidseitiges Verständnis. Wer meine Zeit und Plattform nutzt, sollte bereit sein, Respekt und Wertschätzung zu zeigen und ebenso Unterstützung zurückzugeben. Für mich bedeutet es, klare Grenzen zu setzen und gegebenenfalls auch Konsequenzen zu ziehen – im Sinne einer offenen Kommunikation, vertrauensvollen Zusammenarbeit und respektvollen Partnerschaft unter Künstlern.

As a DJ, musician, and entrepreneur, I place great value on maintaining a fair balance between giving and receiving. Over the past few years, I’ve actively supported many local DJs, producers, event series, and venues through posts, videos, likes, and coverage – always with the intention of showing genuine recognition and fostering mutual appreciation.

My channels are not a space for one-sided demands or political messaging without mutual understanding. Anyone who uses my time and platform should be willing to show respect and appreciation – and offer support in return.

For me, setting boundaries and taking action when needed means clear communication, trustworthy collaboration, and respectful partnership among artists.

Sophie Nixdorf is one of the most popular DJs in Germany at the moment. The readers of Faze-Magazin have just recently crowned her as being the only female of 2015 top-ten shooting stars.

Sophie stands for uncompromising prime-time techno-sets. From the beginning of her career she played side-by-side with national and international leading DJs. Be it on festivals such as the Winterworld, as former resident DJ of the notorious U60311 in Frankfurt or as resident of the legendary Palazzo-Events Sophie easily stirs-up every dancefloor with her mind-blowing sound.

But she is not only a genius in the art of turntable, she is also recognized as a producer. Her releases on Overdrive and Diametral can be found on the playlists of superstar DJ Richie Hawtin, Drumcode-Artist Mikael Jonasson as well as “Knarzmaschine” Thomas P. Heckmann. Her tracks have been remixed by Stanny Franssen aka G-Force, D.Diggler and Matt K. She has even provided remixed for well know DJs like Lexy, Eric Sneo, Adrian Hour and recently techno artist Niereich. Sophie can never hold her hands still – new projects are already in the pipeline.

Last but not least Sophie owns two techno labels. 2011 she be-came owner of Overdrive and since then heads one of the oldest techno labels in Germany.

In 2015, Sophie Nixdorf founded her new label YOU ARE STRANGE. The label delivers a wide range of techno sounds and will release music from newcomers and established acts. The sound is influenced by the artists Sophie loves and keeps on playing in her sets. It lets you flow between cool techno and house.

Aufgewachsen und geblieben in Berlin, bin ich schon seit den Zeiten des legendären E-Werks "gefangen" in dem Strudel der elektronischen Musik, den diese Stadt einem an den ungewöhnlichsten Orten zu den ungewöhnlichsten Zeiten bietet. Aus der Liebe zur Musik wurde die Liebe zum Auflegen und so widme ich mich dieser Leidenschaft nun schon seit über 20 Jahren. In der Vergangenheit habe ich schon in Clubs in Berlin, Brandenburg und Sachsen spielen können, allerdings liegt das schon einige Jahre zurück. 

Die Liebe zur Musik ging jedoch nie verloren. Und so widme ich ihr seit einiger Zeit mit neu gewonnener Inspiration, so unverhofft wie erfüllend, wieder viel Aufmerksamkeit, sehr zu ihrer und meiner und hoffentlich auch eurer Freude.

Melodie, Stimme und Bass, verzaubern und treiben lassen, einem Hauch Melancholie und Sehnsucht hingeben, auf eine gefühlvolle Reise entschweben, in Harmonie und Glück, das alles biete ich euch und hoffe, es berührt eure Seele und zaubert euch ein Lächeln... Viel Freude damit!


Growing up and staying in Berlin, since the days of the legendary E-Werk I have been “caught” in the maelstrom of electronic  music that this city is presenting in the most extraordinary places at the most unsual times. From the love of music evolved the love of turntablism and hence, I am devoted to this passion for over 15 years by now. In the past I have been able to play in clubs in Berlin, Brandenburg and Sachsen, dating back several years, though.

The love of music, however, did not get lost. And for some time now  I am devoting myself to it again with new obtained inspiration, unhoped-for but fulfilling, very much to its, mine and, hopefully, your pleasure. 

Melody, voice and bassdrum, drifting and feeling enchanted, giving in to a hint of melancholy and yearning, flowing on an emotional journey, in harmony and bliss, that is what I have to offer, hoping to touch your soul and conjure a smile… Enjoy!
