Artist and Producer, Mateo "New Era" Cruz, has seen and lived his fare share of strife and struggle. Born May 14th 1985 before his 2nd birthday his uncle had taken a bullet for him and he was kidnapped. He also knows what its like to really be in the streets after being homeless in 09. Even wit all the ups and downs, New Era always knew there were bigger and better things in store for him. When he lost his father in 2010, he had a revelation and he began to really chase his dream of becoming an artist . Mateo "New Era" Cruz has always been a fan of music, his influences are the late Michael Jackson, Tupac, Nas, Jay-z, Eminem and BIggie. Today New Era is setting out to turn the music business on its ear and bring in, you guessed it a "New Era"
