That`s the sound of Cortechs, Cologne. After a few releases on various Labels like "Sick Weird Rough", "ReWashed", "Speca Records" and others, Cortechs has finished the first album production "The End Justifies The Means". This Album will be Released through his regular label "Machine Box" on 22. Nov. 2011.

Beside original productions Cortechs is often asked to do remixes for other Artists like Mark Morris, A. Trebor, Niereich to name a few. Always in exchange with other musicians the collaboration with Niereich starts, results are released on "TK Records" and "ReWashed". Further projects are scheduled.

Giuseppe Marchegiano（ジョセッペ マルケジャーノ）は10年以上に渡って、イタリア／サルディニア島のクラブシーンの最前線で活躍しているDJ。彼のプレイスタイルはアシッドからハウス、90年代のエレクトロからテクノ、ダブからワールドミュージックとJAZZの影響を受けたサイケデリカまでと様々なジャンル、2000年代初期から今日までと新旧おり混ぜたバラエティーに富んだ選曲で構築されている。

2005よりベルリンに在住し、Hubble（ハブル）名義で楽曲活動を開始する。2008年初期に初ヴァイナルをMoultonレーベルよりリリースし、Hubbleはベルリンのアンダーグラウンドなテクノシーンから注目を浴びる。彼のオフィシャルなリリースと海賊版までもが価値あるレア盤となり、商業的なリリースとしてではなく、身近な友人によってプレイされ“long hypnotic journeys”（ロング・ヒプノティック・ジャーニー／催眠的な長い旅）は彼の典型的なサウンドとして認識される様になる。

彼はベルリンの数々のパーティーでプレイを重ね、2008／2009年にはBerghain Kantine（ベルリン、テクノの聖地・ベルグハインの夏期のみ開放される野外フロア）にて自身のパーティー"Forget Me Not"を開催。2010年9月にはPheek主催のカナダのレーベル・Archipelより同名のデビューアルバムをリリース。　

2009年、レーベル"Sleep is Commercial"とのコラボレーションを開始。 現在レーベルののアーティストとして、ベルリンを本拠地に数々のコアなテクノパーティーを開催中。彼のプレイはベルリンの有名クラブ：Club der Visionaere, Watergate, Arena, Bar25, Suicide Circusでも高い評価を受け、サイケデリック・グルーヴィー・サウンドをコンセプトにSleep is commercialの看板アーティストとなる。限定盤ヴァイナル・シリーズ"sic ltd,"を同レーベルからリリースし、2010年の夏にkirks and ghosts & la estrellaを、2011年４月にはfocus & tribute02をリリース。

2011年、彼はテクノーシーンにおいて最も重要なレーベルからのデビューが決定している。2011年5月にはHacknamレコーズから、新プロジェクト・Blue, Whitelovesyou, AllinnrecordsそしてBenjamin Fehr’s Catenaccioと共にPrologueをリリース。
Hubbleは2011年９月にリリース予定のSleep is Commecialの一大プロジェクトである、ノルウェーのエクスペリメンタルJAZZのアイコン"Sidsel Endresen"のremixコレクション（Public Lover Leece-Pronsato’s duoのトリートメントと彼の盟友・Andrea Ferlinのヴァージョンを含む）の立案者でもある。Joe Claussellのレーベル・Sacred RhythmからはJoe招集により"Techno voodoo"をリリース。2011年2月にセカンドアルバム"Reverse"の制作を開始したばかり。

―まずは東日本大震災被災者の方へのメッセージが何かあれば、お聞かせいただけますか？

日本で起こったことは、いまだに信じられないよ。ニュースで流れる映像を見ても、言葉に出来ないような気持ちになる。でも、僕は君たち日本人がとてもタフだと信じているし、すでに復興に向けて動き出していて、再び平和な日々を取り戻すだろうと思っている。日本人が困難に立ち向かう姿にはとても勇気付けられるし、その姿は全ての国のお手本になっているよ。個人的な意見を言わせてもらえれば、僕らは原子力のもつ危険にようやく気づき始めたんだ。また、日本を支援するために、たくさんの団体や組織が結成されていくのを見ると、とても頼もしく思える。こんなことは今までなかったことじゃないかな。僕らのエレクトロニックミュージックやテクノの世界でも、世界中のクラブやアーティストが動き出しているしね。多くの有名なアーティストがこの動きに協力している姿には、とても感銘を受けている。Red Dot Relief(http://reddotrelief.org )のようなチャリティキャンペーンは応援しているよ。


―トラックリストを教えていただけますか？

申し訳ないけど、トラックリストを教えることは出来ないな。このミックスは僕がエディットした曲を使っているから、すべての曲は思い出せない。こうしたミックスを作るときは、いつも保存しておかないんだ。でも、Ryuchi Sakamoto, Ryoji Ikeda, Kunyiuki Takahashiといった、僕の好きな日本人アーティストのトラックは含まれているよ。

―このミックスはどこで録音したものですか？また使用機材を教えてください。

このミックスはベルリンにある僕のスタジオで録ったよ。機材は、Ableton Live、Uc33、Zoom 1201。

―自身の楽曲を使用している場合、解説をお願いします。

ほとんどの曲は僕のものだよ。
「Sand」 ("Haknam"から5月にリリース)
「You」 (まだリリースされていないよ)
「Speachless」 (69分ごろに使っているトランペットの曲、Francesco Assenzaと作ったんだ)
「When the birds fly south」 (次のアルバム用のリエディット)
あと、86分ごろの曲は最近作ったエディットで、最後の曲はNicolas Jaarによるリミックスだよ。

―このミックスのコンセプトなどがあれば教えてください。

これは、完全に即興で録ったんだ。つまり、ノーコンセプトってこと！

―近況と最近の活動について教えてください。 

最近はずっとスタジオで制作をしているかな。今年は新しいコラボレーションで、新しいレーベルからリリースする予定。"Sleep"と"Archipel"からのリリースも予定しているよ。これからは、デジタルでのリリースはしないつもりなんだ、mp3はフリーで共有されるべきだと思っているからね。

－今後のギグの予定は？ 

次のギグはサルデーニャであるよ。僕の故郷で、世界一美しいところさ。それから、4月29日にはロンドン、5月には今拠点としているベルリンで、6月にはサルデーニャのフェスティバルでギグがあるよ。（http://www.thejune.net/）

何週間か前に、東京でプレイするオファーを受け取ったよ。初めて日本を訪れるのが楽しみさ！

As so often I was asked to say and write something about the recording you are currently having in front of you: „HD“. To any musician this is no doubt a complicated moment, since the choice of medium had already been taken in the first place: music. However, it seems that the written word needs to accompany the music, if not just to make sure the composer knows how to defend himself. Let me be frank, in the past this has been a rather ungrateful job, due to the fact that words either seem to appear like a method of justification or explanation of something that in my modest opinion doesn‘t need either one of the two. In the same sense in which „Liedgut“ wasn‘t about romaticism and „Winterreise“ had nothing to do with Schubert, „HD“ isn‘t about anything I‘d wish to express in a lengthy text or would like to see you being able to pinpoint or sell with a flashy headline. Recorded live on Holy Saturday at the infamous Snax Party in Berghain, this is the first 3 hours of an extended set. "Once a year in honor of the old Ostgut tradition, Berghain closes its doors to the straight crowd and unleashes a no-holds barred gay marathon where anything goes. Due to the circumstances of it being a different crowd and different vibe, I figured I'd upload the set which is a bit harder and funkier than I typically play." -DZ
