The always unpredictable and wildly creative Riva Starr returns to Saved Records for the second installment of his Raw Edits EP. Once again delving into an eclectic soundscape that references a plethora of genres, styles and tempos, Riva highlights why is the master of the edit yet again.

First up, Riva settles into addictive dubby atmospheres whilst splicing together the gospel vocals of Roland Clark’s ‘President House’ with the energetic groove of Sante Sansone’s ‘Groove Vibration.’ Thick swabs of bass pulsate between jackin’ beats which build and build throughout the track, mirroring the escalation of the impassioned vocals that bellow out over the top.

Setting off to work on Alex Under’s ‘Hacer La Compra’ Riva gives a demonstration on the workings of nailing a subtle edit.  Staying true to the original, he keeps things relatively stripped back to begin with, allowing jangling synths to flutter over fluid bass and quick percussion. That sense of swinging funk is then opened up by brilliant use of distorted FX, woozing keys and syncopating electronics.

With his edit of Gene Farris’ ‘Welcome To Chicago’ and Ron Costa’s remix of Miguel Bastida’s ‘Ketanima’ Rivaa digs into deep, dubby textures reminiscent of the heyday of Chicago house. Built around warm pads, melodic synths and surges of deep bass, the track has a laidback vibe but powered by a distinctly underground momentum.

A work 12 months in the making, Adam Beyer continues his exciting series of collaborative EPs, teaming up with heavy-hitters Pig&Dan for an multi-faceted four-tracker.

Chances are up if you spied Adam Beyer in an airport departure lounge over the past 12 months, he’d have his head buried in his laptop, immersed in creating sound sketches. A long-time fan of collaborations, the Drumcode chief has been on an inspiring streak of form lately, teaming up with the likes of Mark Reeve, Dense & Pika and now Pig&Dan. The results have been compelling, to say the least. 

In trademark perfectionist Beyer style, the title track ‘Capsule’ – a shimmering slice of techno - involved “around 15 different versions” the track rigorously road tested by the Swede and featured in episodes of Drumcode Radio to test dancefloor reactions, before finally getting the sign off.  ‘In Love’ is a big room techno groover, driven by crisp drums and the kind of evocative vocal effect that’ll have hairs standing on ends. ‘Atmosfear’ is true to its name, centered on a menacing synth line and gritty percussion, its deep kicks and subterranean bass combining superbly to create a heady dancefloor brew. ‘We Are E’ is propelled by a catchy synth hook and a classic call-to-arms vocal, which tips its cap to the artists’ shared love of classic UK rave.

We've got the first play of 'Yes', a high-octane, frantic techno jam, one that twists and turns like a demonic runaway train. It's intense and should be approached with caution, but also one that typifies just how diverse and bold трип​ is as a record label.

At the young age of 15, Manu Desrets was introduced to electronic music after being influenced by some of the industry’s hottest DJs such as Ricardo Villalobos, Argentina Brito, Pier Bucci, The Plug Plix and many others. He began playing the underground scene in Argentina at the age of 17, Then gained residency in Mar del Plata and began playing at parties such as Alucination, Raw Nite, Crobar, Club 69, Marea Baja, Mr. Jones, Zebra, Festival Quinto Sol Mute Club De Mar, PM Open Air Music, Cruz House, Underground Ibiza and many others. 

Not only did he play alongside artists such as Barem, Pier Bucci and Argenis Brito, but he also performed at Ultra Music Festival in Buenos Aires. During his stay in Berlin, the producer released his first work, A Day EP for Limeli Lab and edited for labels such as Drumma Records, Sanity, Wow! Recordings and more. 

Following these accomplishments, Desrets is getting ready to drop his latest release, “El Groopo,” on December 11, 2017, In a collaboration with the Argentinian based producer "LondonGround" in two of the tracks.

This will be Desrets’ & LondonGround first EP on Roush Label, and the tracks can be purchased exclusively on Beatport.
