We could spend the next three paragraphs banging on about the monumental impact our first release ‘We Do What We Want’ had, but to be totally honest with you, we are tired of the track now and just want to move on to the raft of equally amazing music we have lined up for release on We Are The Brave.
 
However, in case you were living under a rock this summer, the key facts you should make a note of are as follows: it was the unofficial anthem for ravers from Hideout Festival to Creamfields. Annie Mac went mental for it on Radio 1. We got snapchats from school kids buzzing off the track and tweets from retailers playing it in their shops. It was even heard in KFC! And our soundcloud stream went into virtual meltdown clocking up 315K listens in under three months.
 
So yeah, not much to live up to…  but you know what? We Are The Brave, we do what we want… and we want to get on to release number two! It’s called Friday Night Dancing. It’s by Alan Fitzpatrick. Skream is on the remix. Nuff said!

The next release on Roush comes from London-based production duo YINGYANG (UK) & Ren Phillips. 2018 has been a big year for them, releasing on labels such as Criminal Hype, Cr2, NoExcuse Records & Lost Audio; they add Roushlabel to that list with a big two-track package of dancefloor heat with their 'Cult Fiction' EP. Kicking off the release is 'Get Down Bizzy', setting the tone with an upbeat and sturdy attitude from the outset. A rumbling bassline and strong kicks throw you headfirst into the groove, accompanied by high-energy rhythm and a catchy vocal hook. Quirky samples, massive buildups and hammer blow drops make this a no-nonsense tech weapon; hold on to your hat! The second and final track in the release 'Cult Fiction' exhibits plenty more of their signature style. Robust and rolling groove with some offbeat percussion, hints of melody and more addictive vocal chops keep you engaged (no doubt with your head bouncing along throughout). Another fine example of a no expense spared, seriously strong club track mentality; upholding their reputation for 'all killer, filler' jams. The positive connections continue as Catz ‘n Dogz update their Music Manifesto with the latest single from their well-received fourth album ‘Friendship’. Originally penned by aforementioned rising Raleigh artist ZenSoFly and her producer-in-crime Maxville, then developed with Catz ‘n Dogz, Zen’s lyrics will resonate deeply with every genuine creative bone in all of our body while the Pets bossmen whip up a jittering, bumpy, horn-poked groove that nods at the old Classic Music sound. The message is clear: make your own wave, be true to what you want to do and don’t put other people’s waves down. Life is too short to feel any other way.

German house masters Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora have announced that they will be releasing the third volume in the 'It Began In Africa' compilation series on Kittball Records. For this, the label have teamed up with "The African Children's Choir", licensed their music and organised a selection of producers to remix them whilst contributing their royalties to the choir. The money will provide shelter, education and a new home for African children in need.

The first two compilations generated over 15,000 Euros which were used to support the choir and its social projects. The funds enabled the building of nurseries and schools to help children get away from life in the streets and this new edition includes tracks from Dario D'Attis, Flashmob, Josh Butler, Mat.Joe, Magdalena, Riva Starr, Walker & Royce and many more.

This is a deep and afro-tinged selection of house tracks that take us back to the roots of rhythm, embalming the earthy grooves with all manner of melodies, tribal percussive patterns, cosmic signifiers and more in between.

Two Long Records welcome Martin OCCO and Giorg for a new pair of tunes that once again redefine underground house music. 

There For Me is a superbly slick and involving track with a warm and rubbery bassline that is all goey and infectious. The prickly percussion drives things forwards and it has a real dance vibe that will lock people in especially once the vocals take off. Stay then pumps the party with more brilliant drum programming and bass and hits that keep the vibe prickly. It's a high pressure cut that never lets up. 

These are two tasteful and effective house tunes.
