Next up on Hannah Wants' label this summer is Spanish DJ & producer, Rafa Barrios, who makes his debut with his brand new, 'Robox' EP. Born and bred in Seville, Rafa started producing and deejaying from a young age and quickly garnered support from AAA DJs including Carl Cox, Reboot, Chus & Ceballos, Marco Carola, and many more who continue to play his tracks today. Having forged a name for himself in the Dance community over the last decade, Rafa's productions have found homes on respected labels in the industry including Toolroom, Saved, Repopulate Mars, Hottrax, Kaluki and Lost, and he's played sets in some of the biggest clubs across the globe. The 'Robox' EP encompasses Rafa's signature Iberican sound, offering two turbocharged Tech House cuts packed with crisp drums, playful percussion, hypnotic synth lines, pulsating basslines, and a grooving low-end throughout. Eats Everything turns in a three-track EP of high energy jams, celebrating the short-lived but iconic
‘Hardbag’ genre from the mid 90s, with all three featuring vocalist Frankco Harris, a performer and host from NYC. 
“Hardbag, a style of music championed by Tony De Vit, Jon Of The Pleased Wimmin, Burger Queen, The Sharp Boys and many many others, was the antithesis of ‘handbag’ house which was popular in the cheesy clubs at the time. Super tough, super fun, largely queer-centric tongue in cheek music that was purely for the dancefloor and didn’t take itself too seriously all the while being absolutely mint (to me anyway). These tracks are for the party, they are for inclusivity & they are not meant to be taken too seriously.” - Eats Everything Kicking off with ‘Bobby And Ken’, Harris’ vocals float atop a punchy instrumental, incorporating shuffling, garage-esque drums, squelchy basslines, and off-kilter FX. ‘Coming For You’ is a high energy affair, bringing pounding percussion, bouncy low end, and high pitched leads to the table, before ‘Wallop (Better Than TheRest)’ brings the EP to a close with rave stabs, grinding build-ups, and cheeky vocal hooks.

The three-track EP embraces the concept of outer space partying, bringing together a collection of fun and energetic tracks all written, produced, and performed by Topping, including his own vocals which feature heavily throughout.

Kicking things into gear is ‘Lift Off’, bringing pounding drums and rising FX alongside rowdy synth hits as Topping’s vocals take the track to new heights. ‘Quick To The Mothership’ sees heavy rave stabs and blown out kicks alongside his own auto-tuned performance for a high energy affair before ‘Planet Session’, the final destination on the journey, closes out the release. Drawn out, high pitched leads sit atop a subtle and pulsing 4/4 pattern, with rolling low-end bringing the EP to a satisfying conclusion.

Wyatt Marshall has been a part of the Dirtybird family for quite a few years. Claude enlisted him as his studio assistant and producer/co-host of Claude’s Birdhouse radio show, which turned into their collaboration, ‘Youngblood’, that appeared on his album in 2020.

After a few compilation appearances and performances at our Campout and BBQ festivals, Wyatt makes his EP debut with “Another Redundant Question”. An avid modular synth enthusiast and purveyor of the minimal, deep sound, both tracks are a great window into Wyatt’s musical mind.
