This is a recent piano improvisation I recorded on March 7th, 2017.  Funny thing is that I didn't remember spending any time at the keyboard that day until... well..  until I was going through my files earlier today!  

It's always fun when I find an improvisation that I had completely forgotten about - especially if I had never played it back for myself before then.  Most of the time there's a good reason for that but sometimes I find something that isn't terrible.  Kind of like a little present that my past self left for me to find.

So, on that note, please enjoy!

My piano is my voice.  I started recording these compositions and improvisations a few years ago when I wanted to tell someone how much I love them and no words were sufficient.  In the process of writing and recording that piece, I decided to start recording my random improvisations as well (which despite having played most of my life, I've never done before).  That was the beginning of my first set, "Words Fail Me" and this page.

Thanks to everyone who has listened, liked, reposted, commented - the fact that so many complete strangers have taken time out of their lives to experience a little of mine is crazy.

I love all kinds of music but tend to be drawn most towards progressive rock, rock, all genres of solo piano, jazz, blues, metal, I'm a sucker for a good power ballad and ever since joining the SoundCloud community I'm discovering an appreciation for hip hop.
