I haven't decided on a title for this set yet, but these are all of the solo piano recordings I have made since moving to San Diego.  I made a couple upgrades to my recording equipment and re-recorded all of these tracks today (6/12/15) at a much higher quality than I was originally able to record them at.

This piece falls somewhere between an improvisation and a composition.  Originally the melody came to me while recording an improvisation which (other than that melody) I hated.  After taking a day to play with and focus entirely on that melody I started recording again.  This is what came out of that session.

"Of What's to Come" is a project where I use the piano to explore the future - what lies ahead - instead of the present or past.   Unlike "Words Fail Me", in which each track captures some part of my life that has already been written, each track of "Of What's to Come" is a daydream, fantasy or  story about a part of my life that still* lies ahead.

My piano is my voice.  I started recording these compositions and improvisations a few years ago when I wanted to tell someone how much I love them and no words were sufficient.  In the process of writing and recording that piece, I decided to start recording my random improvisations as well (which despite having played most of my life, I've never done before).  That was the beginning of my first set, "Words Fail Me" and this page.
