Johannes Albert, known for the hit-releasing label Frank Music kicks off this mix series, that invites its guests to present their influences, inspiration or anything else that’s interesting to them. The only condition is, that it shouldn’t be a typical club mix consisting of dance music only. 

Dive into some inspiration by the man dropping disco edits, ambient tapes, 80s inspired hits, acid, remixes and more. His Ambient LP „Spessart“ will be out on vinyl in october, another EP from Kayroy is in the making and 10 years of Frank Music will definitely be surprising too.

Closing the Wald stage on Sunday evening.

I'd slept an hour before this set, so it was a blur of smiling faces. Listening back, it moved through elements I associate with a festival Sunday: groovy, chunky, never far from a soul sample or some M1 piano and pushing progressively harder towards the close.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

He is the boss from Zürichsee actually. We „L.ove“ his Synth Pop all the way. Darmstadt’s finest Levitation Venue are back with the calm yet groovy „Everything’s Good“. Now we set sail for the flipside. High waves and a storm comes up on the floor when Johannes drops his „Dynamo“. A very 90s informed rave affair! Sir Iron Curtis takes over the realm and shows a little respect for classic Electro. We travel to „Münster West“. The sea calms again with the bittersweet symphony of Max Lessig’s „Make me cry“. We reach safe havens. To the next 10!

Thomas Koch (aka DJ T.) has been a pioneer of the electronic music scene for more than three decades, not just as an artist, but as a label manager, magazine founder, promoter and more. At the end of 2015, when he arrived once more in the Sacred valley of Peru for a long timeout and healing journey, he discovered the art of Ecstatic Dance. First he only visited these small ceremonies as a guest. But in spring 2018, when he came back to Berlin from another stay in the Peruvian mountains, he wanted to check out what his hometown had to offer in terms of this culture, to find a fast growing, vibrant scene in hiy city. Since then he has been shifting his activities and channelling all of his experience to find his very own way of creating the musical journeys for these events. Now, with a couple of EPs in the pipeline under his new alias Mathami on his newborn label Pura Danza, 2021 and beyond is an exciting time for Mathami and one where he will be breaking down musical boundaries.
