It’s 2021 and Manipulated Frequency is back! We’ve had a busy break across the festive period where we have decided to add something new to the label this year which is our very own Edit Series! 

We’ve got some sick producers lined up, and kicking it all off our good friend and head honcho of @diserpierorecords Tiorted! (@tiorted1 )

House enthusiast Tiorted began his journey into house music in the summer of 2018, heavily influenced by the sounds of Detroit in the early beginnings of its time. Tiorted is a palindrome for Detroit spelled backward and some of his influences include Kerri Chandler, Robert Hood, Eddie Fowlkes & Josh Butler.

Tiorted’s deep, hypnotic underground sound shines bright in his edit of Brandy’s ‘I Wanna Be Down’, which gained some big early support from @suatism late last year! He has quickly developed a style combined with energetic and uplifting grooves, a perfect fit for the MF family! 

As well as being a resident on Liverpool’s Hidden Dimension parties which has seen crowds turn out in their thousands across the UK, Tiorted took lockdown by the horns in March 2020, kicking off his label Diserpiero Records. He now runs this with Amsterdam based artist @tooommi & Italian based @maxlanemusic which have seen a couple of VA’s released towards the end of 2020 and now a radio series on Detroit’s 313.FM which he aims to channel a path for minimal house music across to the Motor City.
