I’ve been making mixtapes since the days of music playing on tapes. I’m a child of the 80’s, MTV, Saturday morning cartoons, Nintendo, movies, and music.  I’ve grown into mixing all these influences into my mixtapes. 

Originally inspired by mix master Mike and DJ Spinbad, I fully admit and frequently tell people that I’m not a DJ.  I don’t remix or mashup.  Just like the original tracks and movie quotes, I find remixes that real DJs make that i love and add them to my mixtapes. 

I do my very best to give credit to the real DJs who made the remixes in my song descriptions.

Just like DJs who honor the artists they sample, my intention is to honor the DJs whose remixes I sample.

Takimba is a Dj/Producer who has been in the game for multiple decades. Starting out on Vinyl back when there were no other options he cut his teeth rocking crates from state to state before evolving into the digital world.

He brings the funky vibes to the dancefloor often performing with Takimba & Friends featuring live musicians joining the party and has multiple releases on InStereo Recordings as well as a bunch of Free Downloads.
