This is a technique I've developed over the years and use as the basis of many a self-generative analog modular patch.

There are two main features:
a) Three LFOs each modulating the next in a loop - this produces widely varying rhythm and structure
b) A varying control voltage run through a three stage sample and hold shift register, so that the pitches of three sources change in a cascade

There is some additional "old skool" digital delay added in the middle for that "electronic music studio" sound.

One of the most celebrated house tracks of the ‘90s gets a deep and sultry reworking, as Rob Made updates Sunscreem’s 1992 classic ‘Perfect Motion’, released on Champion Records on 27 March. 

With a fresh new vocal, Rob Made’s seductive update evokes balmy Ibiza evenings. Rob Made cleverly fuses low pitched R&B vibes with the famous old-school early ‘90s house elements of the original to produce an exhilarating reworking which is fitting for Champion Records’ landmark 35th Anniversary – the iconic British label which Rob Made is now at the helm of.

Rob Made said: “The original Boys Own Remix back in ’92 is still one of my all-time favourite records and most treasured vinyl - for the club and time it just can’t be topped! After hearing Regard’s ‘Ride It’, I felt that sound he has brought back, a signature ‘sleazy deep’ sound from my 2012 days was back. With this in mind, I was thinking what vocal could I re-work in that low pitched, R&B, sexy vibe? And I thought of Sunscreems ‘Perfect Motion’, and It just worked.”

As Label Manager of Sleazy Deep and the legendary Champion Records, Rob Tabor aka Rob Made started his passion for house music working at London’s greatest record distributors AMATO, picking records in the warehouse and becoming a runner at React Records. Rob’s knowledge grew and his passion to become a part of the scene he loved continued to rise through residencies at London clubs The Cross, Egg, Key Club, 54 and more over a 10-year period working the warm-up sets to graveyard and early morning cross-over day parties as part of duo 2’s Company. Since going solo and creating Rob Made, his Sleazy Deep labels and music have seen him travel the globe to Green Valley in Brazil, deepest Siberia, Detroit, Miami and across Europe from Denmark to Berlin with his unique Sleazy house sound. His tracks have gained huge support including from Solomun, Maceo Plex, Lee Foss, and Miguel Campbell.
