Slumberland began operations in 1989, inspired by such musical happenings as C-86, early Creation, Sarah, Postcard, and the UK post-punk indie label scene. Since then we've covered a lot of territory, from punk to lofi noise to shoegaze and of course pop, releasing records from bands like The Aislers Set, Boyracer, Stereolab, Rocketship, Lorelei, The Ropers, The Saturday People and Black Tambourine.

Our current roster includes The Lodger, Sarandon, Crystal Stilts, The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, Phil Wilson, Sexy Kids, Pants Yell!, Brilliant Colors, Liechtenstein, Summer Cats, Brown Recluse, and Cause Co-Motion!

I’m one-third of The Postmarks, and also record under various names like The Magic Bricks, Venice Super, I Am Stereo, Our Man In Pompano, Electralab, The King Makers, and Grand Theft Otto for which I do remixes. I also compose for film and TV, and write/record the audio drama podcast AMERICAN DOOM.

I've played on/produced records for John Ralston (Vagrant), Andy Chase, The Neverendings (Unfiltered), Summer Blanket, Hannah Darling (Riviéra) and Helen Horal.

I Am Stereo is a South Florida foursome made up of members from shoegaze stalwarts WHIRLAWAY, the Tony Lash-mixed HELLO HUMAN and international indiepop band THE POSTMARKS. Their self-titled debut E.P., mastered by indie icon Kramer (Sonic Youth, Half-Japanese) owes as much to '90s indie rock and shoegaze as it does to '60s psychedelic and French pop. Swirling vibraphone and rhodes electric piano sit atop solid songwriting and catchy melodies. The spacious guitars of RIDE and the space-age pop of AIR will come to mind when listening to the five song E.P. from this South Florida band. A second E.P. will be available soon and will continue the path toward mixing current music trends with the garage pop of 60s bands like THE KINKS, and FREE DESIGN, and modern revivalists like the LILYS and SLOAN.

The project of Jonathan Wilkins (The Postmarks, I Am Stereo) started in 2009 and influenced by Stereolab, Cut Chemist, Dosh, Chicago, and Steely Dan. The first single “Falcons In The Pool” (b/w “Taking The Tubeway”) was released on Lucrative Angst Records in 2010.

Jonathan is one-third of the indie pop band THE POSTMARKS and has been writing songs and composing for film and TV over 15 years.
